I've decided to venture into trying out snus since vaping really isn't cutting it. I still get urges months after quiting smoking. Placed an order with snuscentral but in the mean time, I'd like to buy a tin if possible until my shipment comes in.

Has anyone that uses snus been able to buy it in any local stores? If so, what stores? I'd rather not go to every Macs or 7-11 and tobacconist looking for snus, only to find out no one carries it. I've seen little tiny fridges by the tobacco products but have no idea what's in them. Asked this morning at 7-11 when I grabbed something to eat quick and all I got was weird looks.

Thanks :)

EDIT: River City Cigar Co. on 127th ave and 50th street (Edmonton) carries General white portion snus :)

Snus is just chewing tobacco isn't it? Like Copenhagen? I haven't bought it in a very long time but last I saw it was available everywhere. In little hockey puck like cases, or in pouches. Maybe I am way out of date on this subject.

Swedish snus is actually a lot different than chew/dip and much better than American brand 'snus'. The tobacco is steam pasteurised instead of fermented, and the traditional flavours have no added sugars. It comes in portions or loose, and is meant to be placed in between the upper lip and gums rather than bottom. It is of much higher quality than chew/dip and is regulated as a food product in Sweden. The juice is actually swallowed compared to chew, with no negative consequences. There is also minute amounts of carcinogens in snus. I've read that dark roasted coffee has more carcinogens ;)

Overall it really packs a punch, and provides that 'ahhh' feeling that vaping has lacked for me. I plan to use it to supplement my vaping

Ahhh Ok. Thanks for the quick lesson. It's not an area I know much about.

My uncle used to chew when I was a kid and he always called it snus. I tried it once in school but got very sick because I had nowhere to spit and had to swallow all the juice. Didn't ever look back. At least I learned something new today. :)

Haha, that reminds me all too well of the time I tried chew in grade 9. I couldn't even move I felt so sick.

I had to get up in the middle of class and go to the bathroom to puke my guts out. Some of my friends said I literally turned green. It was in Grade 10 Social class. I remember it very vividly. Sucked so hard. Never went back for a second try.
