So am I the only one?

I've been putting off TC for months cause I couldn't find a build that was enjoyable at all. Or knew the right setting for me or anything despite countless builds and settings. Finally after 4 months I found a build 26G Ni200 14.5 wrap dual spaced coil (3mm I believe) 50 watts at 475 degrees. Man I have got to say, I see what the hype was about now... This Phillip Rocke Créme De La Créme is like heaven. Just curious if I'm the only one that took this long to figure this out.

Your far from the only one I only recently really started to enjoy temp control after getting my stainless steel wire before that I tried nickel but could always taste something that put me off but now I get nothing but clear liquid flavour with great consistency. Sometimes it takes a bit of time, trial band error to find that setup but feelscdamn good when you do congrats on finding yours :).

I can't say it took me that long, but some have spent quite a bit of time and just gave up.
There is to much incorrect information on setting TC to satisfy a given individual.

I absolutely Love my SX Mini M Class running a Dual Ni200 build.
Perfect vape that is always the same.
No threat of - Wire poisoning(LOL - not hot enough)
Loooooong Wick Life with even longer coil life.

Six weeks for me and still eh. I'll probably try again in the future but...

Can't say I ever hated TC but didn't care for it.

Revisited it recently with some of the newer generation TC gear and must say for now TC is all I been doing since.

I've tried TC but haven't gotten to enjoy it yet. I got an IPV D2 that I want to put to good use, but I can't get a Ti build to work. I don't know if it's the way I wrapped the coils or the way I'm wicking it, but I didn't enjoy the few builds I tried and have given up for now. I need to get some higher gauge kanthal so I can put it to good use. Maybe I'll try another Ti build at some point.

I was using Ni200 coils for a few months in some of my tanks...Freemax Starre (meh), Arctic (coils tasted metallic), Crown (cloud wasn't thick), and Tobeco Mini Super Tank (best one). I got my hands on an Aromamizer by Steam Crave, and began building Titanium coils, and found my vape nirvana again. My favorite build and settings would have to be dual simple coils, vertical, 9 wraps each around 3mm mandrel, slightly spaced, around 0.2ish ohms set to 65W and about 370-400*. IMHO, I have the best experience with these coils. I have yet to find a build or a tank that gives this clean of flavor.

I haven't tried TC yet, but I have the gear so one of these days I should give it a shot. I have a Vapor Shark rDNA40 box and some 28g annealed tempered Ni200 wire. For atomizers I have a Magma (another one on the way), Derringer, couple Kayfun Lite+ V2's and Subtank Mini with the RBA section. Do any of those lend themselves particularly well to TC builds? Anyone who's had some success care to chime in with a build suggestion, or other tips or tricks to get me going in the right direction?

"You Are Not Alone" should be this board's motto. I tried TC when only Ni wire was available and it was so miserable I never even looked at Ti wire when it came out. Now I have found SS316, though, I am using it every day.
SS is good, but I find Ti to be just a touch more accurate. YMMV, however. It's more of a personal decision on which is best. All I can say is that Ni200 wire tastes like crap when vaped, for the first tank, at least.

Yes the STM RBA is an easy Ni200 build.
8-9 wrap spaced on 3mm 28ga works great with the DNA40.
I prefer "tempered" ni200, but the annealed will work......
