Ok well im new to the vaping scene - was a pack a day smoker malboro reds . Recently converted over to vaping , the news and media are doing a good job at scaring those who are new to this world by trying to pinpoint chemicals in the juices that will kill. They are doing a good job protecting tobacco companys as if they are not known to kill and cause cancer , I don't understand .

I daily vape and pretty much found the flavors im happy with they are :

five pawns - Grandmaster
Five Pawns - Castle Long
Five Pawns - Gambit
SpaceJam - Starship 1
SpaceJam - Astro
Suicide Bunny - Mothers Milk

My question is are these main companys really diacetyl free ? I put my body thru heavy smoking thru out the past 14 years and as im getting older the fear of cancer is now starting to wake me up . I try to lean towards the more expensive juices so I can have a little peace of mind that im not doing the same amount of damage as smoking a cig . I know crème flavors are the ones to watch out for but it seems to be the flavors I like the most . any advice ? :vapor:

DIY and use Flavourart's e-cig line. Only way to be sure in my eyes.

basically I figured im asking a question no one can answer , vaping out of mechanical mods haven't been out there for 10+ years to know the true effects if any . it def is something to keep you off real cigs which is for sure proven to kill you , I read five pawns claims to be 100% diacetyl free aint find much on space jam or suicide bunny but im sure they claim the same . But who knows I feel five pawns is the way to go if anything the price and taste speaks for itself

If you're concerned I'd email them or call them and ask directly.

I have contacted fivepawns 2 days ago and waiting for a reply , im sure we all know they will claim it to have none.

Well, if you think the companies would lie to you, probably you shouldn't buy from them?

And wasn't the problem long term exposure in factory settings? Not that I would advocate anybody using the stuff but being exposed to some small amount of something isn't the same thing as inhaling it repeatedly. As, well, most of us here used to do with tobacco smoke.

I dunno. Considering what my previous habit was, I'm not too inclined to getting wound up over every little detail of what's in my juices. And short of expensive lab testing, I know of no way to tell exactly what's in those bottles if somebody is inclined to lie to me.

But, then, that would apply to everything. Including the water coming from my tap...

well that doesn't always work as I found out. Some just go by what the Flavour company tells them, and we're finding out that it's not always accurate.

what makes you so sure these diy stuff you doing is safe to vape ? I mean companys like five pawns have a facility something like a lab for stuff like this , they use the best of the best to my knowledge . I vape 6mg of nic so im not concerned on that part , just the flavor part is what concerns me

understandable , I mean the government allows and approves sales of tobacco which is known to kill and cause serious problems . I feel tobacco sales are going down and now all the negatives are starting to come to media . But I have heard of early companys and juices that did have diacetyl in it few yrs ago , now and days im sure they all claim not to.

I take a course in my school and the instructor asked us why would we smoke cigarettes if we know that they will kill us. I asked her about my vaping device and she replied, "The carcinogens in your device are going to kill you". Can anyone explain to me what she's talking about?

It's the latest and greatest scare tactic. They don't have actual evidence, they just say KANSIRSSSS!!!

I've even seen people claim nicotine is a carcinogen. Um... since when?

Yah but. If you get too paranoid... you never leave your home. ;)

I'm sure there are some irresponsible juice companies out there but the community in the main moved pretty quickly to dump diacetyl when that issue arose. To some degree, vaping is a gamble. We don't yet have long term studies of it's effects but we're betting--with good reasons I think--that it's safer (note the "-er" there) than smoking. Nobody can say for certain it's "perfectly safe". Just that smoking is a lot more dangerous.

I agree , vaping is def a cleaner smoke . I feel it for sure when im inhaling it . I smoke out of a nemesis clone dual coil setup sony battery and I cant lie this thing hit hard and is really tasty . When I go to vape shops and they have them testing devices where you can adjust voltage or whatever all the juices taste like crap to me.

I think that's a question you should have asked her since she seems to be the know all in vaping. To me it sounds like she's on board with all the other anti's. In any case, we all know that the devices we use are for reduced harm and is not a cover all for completely safe. That said, keep in mind all the other thousands of chemicals (in cigs) that you are keeping out of your body.

Oh, I see. So, is she just blowing smoke up my ...? lol

im sure cigs have carcinogens or whatever that is I don't feel like going to google right now lol but I would just recommend vaping as what it is suppose to be for and that is quit smoking . I wouldn't recommend going thru 2 battery's a day but yet again I know people who do . To each his own .

I'd ask to see the studies. There are a couple of half @$$ed ones out there but, for the most part, nobody can find much of anything. And I read every study I can get my hands on (and, for that matter, am in one).

I'm way more concerned about the crap belching out auto tail pipes and coal fired electricity plants. We're all breathing that mess all the time. We know cold that our addiction to fossil fuels is causing cancer but I don't see the Concerned Folks giving up their cars...

lol.

That sounds like the kind of response a Politician speaks.

You get the impression that there are carcinogens in your device but if you call him on it - guess what! He Never said that there were carcinogens in your device.

"The carcinogens (if any) in your device are going to kill you."
