Ok so I am a total newbie to all of this stuff. I have been reading here for a few days now and I want to make a purchase.
I think.... lol
So from the info that I have been reading I am leaning towards a 510. I smoke analogs now and I want to quit using them so I am looking for something that will give me somewhat of a feel of an analog but not compromise on throat hit, battery life, etc.
So who do I buy from? What do I need? Should I buy extra parts at first? Who has the best deals? Who has fast shipping? What liquid should I get that will closely resemble the analogs that I currently use? etc, etc, etc...lol
I am just so confused!
I currently smoke Merit Ultra Lights which is another concern of mine, If I tried to smoke a full flavor analog I would probably drop to the floor. So I am also wanting to get something that will have an "ultra light" type of hit and flavor.
Have I asked enough newbie questions? lmao.
Thanks for any info you all can give me.

I haven't tried a 510 so I can't suggest a vendor, though I hear good things about e-smokey treats. I highly recommend getting some spare parts-an atomizer or two at the least.

Flavors are one of things that you have to experiment with. I quickly got bored with the 'tobacco' flavors and moved on to other things-Peach is my current favorite, though PTJD turned me on to a Plum flavor that's pretty awesome.

I put tobacco in quotes because nothing is going to taste like a cigarette. There's no burning, so the flavor's different. My advice would be to order some samples from various suppliers. You might try RY4(Tobacco with a caramel flavor, sweet and smooth), it's good.

Welcome to vaping! The 510 is a great choice. I suggest getting the PCC (Personal Charging Case). I have one and always have a fresh battery. The batteries don't last but a couple hours, but while your vaping one, another one is charging in the PCC. I also smoked Ultra Lights and I have vaped 11mg up to 36mg. Sometimes I want the extra jolt. Your best bet for finding the right strenght, flavor, etc is to get 3ml sample packs and try them out. Most of the orders I place get to me within 3 days from a few different suppliers. Go to the supplier forum and read the reviews. Once you decide that you love the 510 (I think you will), then I suggest extra atomizers and batteries. I usually order an extra battery or atomizer here and there when I order juice. Good luck and hapy vaping! :)

Don't get too confused or flustered.
Their are many mods to chose from. I bought the 510 from Widows bead work super fast shipping
Widows Bead Work - E-cigarette Store

The smoke is good. DO not worrie about smoking the ultra light analogs the throat hit will not be that much different. For me the throat hit could be stronger, I have been rolling my own for years .
I would start out with a 510 kit and buy some flavored juice. The 510 kit from the widow comes with 2 batts and 2 atty. Add a bottle of juice and it should be about $58 not bad start.
Good luck and keep us posted

Hello Jerseyguy:

I have had the best of luck with the Dura-C. They also have the best warranty. You can take a look here and view a video review: JANTY DURA SETS JANTY DURA-C SET Some say that they are all the same (Dura-C, 510, Titan, Yeti). But I believe that the Dura-C with the warranty, and being the first of all the above mentioned types, surpasses the others. I prefer the manual battery. In my opinion it gives you more control, for better vapor and throat hit verses the auto battery.

You could just start with a kit and a bottle of liquid. How about this bottle of tobacco flavored 11mg liquid to start: JANTY LIQUID TOBACCO - Janty USA Then shortly after, make another order for more supplies if you take to it.

You need to just get one in your hand and give it a try. Best of luck to you, and welcome to ECF.

If you think you're sold on the idea, you might with this:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...bats-pelican-case-usb-15-ml-ecopure-more.html

$75 and free shipping. Basically 2 510's with two extra atomizers and either a pelican case or the PCC which another poster mentioned where you take your battery charger with you without having to plug it in. The ECO pure liquid is good as well. I like the taste of 'Fresh' and you can get the low or medium nicotine content - I was an ultra light smoker as well and medium cures the pain :) without knocking you over.

If you want to go lighter to start, try this one:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ovapor-25-free-priority-shipping-ecopure.html

$25 and free shipping for 1 510, charger and some juice. But with one battery you'll have to wait for charging - 1/2 hour or so.

Not affiliated with them. My original is a Janty and I love it too. Have parts from all over. As far as shipping goes, with the holiday it may be a day later than normal... Last order from Innovapor on late Monday -ie. Tues. arrived Friday.

Hi jersey guy! I just ordered from rockymountainvapor. They have the 510 for $46 with free shipping:

Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes! : JOYE510 Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit Matte Black

The 510 has been solid for me, I really enjoy it. I smoked Marlb ultra lights for the past 12 or so years (b4 that, 8 years of lights). I keep with the low nic, anywhere from 6mg to 12mg. It was enough to get me off the craving. If you order the kit you get 2 high, 1 med, 1 low, 1 none cartridges. The lowest level of nic that rockymount has is 18mg so if you want to get some liquid with your order (you do! you do!) you might want to find a supplier with a lower nic level.

When it comes to liquid with analog taste, I keep away from most tobacco flavors except RY4, which is tobacco w/a sweet carmel type taste to it. Very yummy!

Best of luck, give it a shot!

Congrats on your decision to try out vaping. I think that, like many of us, you'll be amazed at how easy it is to reduce or eliminate your dependence on tobacco once you start vaping.

And your decision to look at the 510 is a good one . . . a nice, solid e-cig with a powerful punch in a small package. :)

I think the MINIMUM necessary to give vaping a fair try is: 2 atomizers, 2 batteries, a charger, a 5-pack of cartridges, and a 10 ml worth of liquid (15-20 would be better, though). Since you've done some reading, you already know that cartridges don't last long at all, and topping off/refilling with liquid from a bottle is cost-effective. Not only that, but most of us find that topping off a cartridge (not waiting until it's empty) provides the most satisfying vape.

Once you decide you like vaping, that's when you'll want to start buying more stuff, imo. The 10 ml of liquid won't last very long at all, and so within a couple of days, you'll want to order more. Pay attention to who you're buying from . . . some vendors seem to take forever to ship, and you might find yourself in the uncomfortable position of running out before the new shipment arrives.

The reason why I don't generally suggest that new vapers immediately stock up on parts is because sometimes the first e-cig we pick isn't necessarily the one that we wind up sticking with. I suspect, though, that you'll like your 510 very much. :)

Ah, so YOU are the OTHER Merit Ultra Lights 100 smoker -- other than my wife, I mean. =)

FWIW, that cigarette helped me get off tobacco and into a full-time vaping. When I smoked my last Marlboro I kept a Merit Ultra Light 100 with me as I started my journey into vaping full time. The immediate headaches that putrid cigarette would give me convinced me to vape, vape, vape. They should sell those damned things with a bottle of Tylenol.

You are going to LOVE vaping, Jersey guy. You're going to wonder how you ever put those awful things to your lips. Good luck to you.

wow, Merit Ultra Lights? They still make those? lol It's been a long long time since I smoked those, but those were prolly my first ultra light. In more recnt years I had discovered Basic Ultra Lights and that's what I smoked before I quit 3 months ago and started vaping recently.

The 510 was a good choice for me, and I'm pretty new to it myself. I'm almost at the point where I'm considering buying some extra parts just to have.

Good luck :)
