So confused!

I have tried vaping before, with a V4life kit. It was nice, but I didn't stick with it. I would like to try something new, but I don't want to waste my money on something I won't like. I am looking for something with a good throat hit and good battery life. I am absolutely terrible at remembering to charge anything (which was one of the major downfalls before). My problem is, the more I read and research which kit to buy, the more confused I get.

I have been looking at the eGo and KGO kits, but honestly have no idea which one would be better (or if I should go with something else altogether). Now, I did see that a lot of people prefer the ones that are most like analog cigarettes, and I am not a stickler, so that is not a huge concern for me.

Oh, 2 other things: 1. I usually smoke only at night, so about a pack every 3-4 days. 2. I am pretty active, so I need something that I can take places (like camping or out on a boat).

A couple or 4 of either should be fine. You will have to remember to charge, but the more you have, the less likely you will be stuck without one with power.

If you only smoke at night, one would do, but you could never forget to charge.

Oh, and you always need at least one back up in case of malfunction.

My comment that one would suffice meant that one of the batteries should get you through the evening in a charge...

Well when you get a kit it comes with a charger. Many use a USB charger but not all. For those it is made easy and you can get a cig lighter USB adapter to charge batteries on the go. If you get an APV the batteries are removable and you can just charge the battery while the APV is running on a spare. The individual batteries for APV's go in a charger and most if not all have a port to use a 12v connection going to a Cig Lighter adapter also but it is not USB but just a cable with a special end Radio Shack carries them.
If you go with an Ego etc you just get two and when one is charging the other can be used. Believe me you want a spare anyway.
Size you can get the almost pen size for bigger in the case of APV's. I do recommend Variable voltage. As far as what is best I got my start on the Ego's I got an Ego Twist 1000 but now the spinners are out. Just have to decide on size (the higher the Amp hour rating the longer it will run on a charge but they take longer to charge too. I've learned that a lot of this is subjective. I would go for a kit that has two batteries a charger some kind of atty which I prefer the clearos but not all do they go with a Carto or tank. You will save a lot on a kit. Also buy sample packs of juice until you find something you like.
FYI PV's don't like water! The smarter the PV or APV the less forgiving they will be to getting wet.

Get an Ego. I can't recommend that enough. I wish I had skipped the little 510 battery I started out with. I have a couple of mods and I still use Egos every day. The juice flavor will also decide weather or not you stick with it. Try some sample packs from different providers.

Oh, for the ego, what kind (and what's the difference)? When I looked them up, I saw there were several different ones.

What he ^^^ said. But really, just simple ego 650's are pretty reliable, inexpensive, and will give you a great start.

A pass through is a nice option for those that forget to charge, but make sure it will vape as a true pass tbrough when the battery isn't charged. Some don't
