I am hoping to upgrade if I make enough money next week (I am a self employed hairstylist and its alittle slow right now) Anyways, I am debating back and forth between the ego and the Riva 510. I am now just using the N-joy pro and am wanting something better. Background, I have smoked for 15yrs and was up to 1 1/2-2 packs a day. I have pretty much stopped with the n-joy although I have been under some stress the past cpl days (mom had a heartattack) and have smoked. I am looking for better battery life. The both look very similar to me. Help please.

Sorry about being all over the place in this post, I just got back from the hospital and am very tired and stressed:(. I really need to quit this habit, seeing my mom in the hospital showed me just how much!!!

Thanks in advance

I am so sorry about your mother. She's in my thoughts, as well as you.

I cannot speak for the Riva 510, although I've seen a number of posts that rave about it. I give a lot of trust in those who post on ECF... and so whatever these people say, I would definitely believe. Myself, I went with the eGo, and am going on my 6th day as being analog-free. For someone who has smoked for 20+ years, I'd say that's quite a feat. I commend you on whatever route you take, as the true PV experience is well worth it. I feel like I've saved my own life by joining this forum, and wish nothing but the best for you.

Thanks both of you. I am trying not to stress over the slip up. Yeah I trust everyones opinions here thats for sure. I am really leaning towards the ego, they both sound real similar. But the price is alittle different. But I guess you get what you pay for huh?!? I guess I just needed a cpl of other peoples thoughts on this especially since I am not thinking extremely clear at the moment :-[

Look Riva or eGo you will get good Batt life. If $$$ is tight you might be able to get a Riva cheaper than an eGo. Parts are interchagable for both. I use the eGo and have been happy with it. I have not used a Riva. When you decide search for "Coupon Codes" you will more than likely find 5 - 10% off from a supplier.

I hope the outcome and prognosis for your mom are positive.

Hello there,

I have used my Riva for almost 2 months and stopped smoking cigarettes the day it arrived. I got one for my mom and she occasionally goes back and has a cigarette every now and then so don't worry about it. Always think of it as how many cigarettes you have NOT smoked not the one or two that you did :)
Like you I smoked for 15 years and I was at about a pack a day before I found vaping. The battery life on the Riva is solid. I usually have it for a full day before I need to recharge. If funds are scarce I would recommend waiting for Liberty Flights to restock as they have 510 Rivas for 29.99. I don't think you will find an Ego at that price point. Again I haven't tried an Ego but by many accounts they are basically the same. Good luck with whatever you choose and your family is in my prayers.
