Yes, I charged the batteries for 12 hours when I received them. Since have charged 2-3-4 hours each several times. Can a battery be over-charged? The charger light is worthless...goes green as soon as battery is inserted, then flashes green-red-green, etc. The charger can be used in usb port, but it's now plugged into wall socket.

OK...I have just now dripped 5 (FIVE) drops of JC vanilla on atomizer and 2 drops into cartridge...NO VAPOR! I am really getting bummed. :(

Someone earlier suggested dripping plain glycerine...would this work any different than the JC juice?

Try starting over drain atomizer and add 1 or 2 drops of glicerin that should give you alot of vapor

5 drops is way too much to put on a atomizer. Unscrew it from the battery, blow it out from the back side into a paper towel. Careful that you don't get any juice in your mouth. The juice left in the atomizer wick should be enough to vape with. If you have an empty cart without the filling, one small drop on the atomizer should be enough for 4 or 5 vape hits.

Do you have a second atomizer?

Hey All!
Just got back from Wally World (wal-mart) and picked up some glycerine and poly-fil. Cost me about $6.00 and I now have MORE than plenty to refill my carts myself! I have always been using the juice but now I will be adding a few drops of the glycerine to the batting. Just topped of my current cart and MAN, AWSOME vapes and a very noticable throat hit! Not dissapointed at all!!

I still stand by that the atomizers you got are no good and should contact wherever you bought it from for replacements.

Its already been more than 2 days and you are still getting almost no vapor.

When i got my EVO it did take a break in period but i would say no more than a day or two of really light vaping cuz i hated it at first.

I would suggest you, if you had the money to spare, to get the 901 instead.

Thanks Vapor...going to blow out atomizer and re-drip to see what happens. I've been thinking of getting a 901. Think I will try bestecig cause I've been reading a they're a good supplier. Do you know if the glycerine will make any difference?

I first started out with a 901, then moved over to a 401 from diet smokes.. It performs top notch except for the battery. It lights up for almost any noise.. Well bassy noise. Anyway to avoid this? This is the only complain i have for the 401!

I've got another 401 coming from dietsmokes...hope it's better than this one. Of course, with all the great help I've been getting from you guys, this one I have may turn out to be great!

I read on another thread that the 401 batteries are affected by noise and like if you have your car window open. Nothing to do about it except put the battery in a "sound-proof" case.

Yeah my 401 from parked is amazing. You will be happy with it. Give it 2 days for the atomizer to break in and you will get that vapor you are looking for. The throat hit rocks even with 18mg juice. I made a case but im still having probles with the battery activating on its own when i play a show with my band...

Unless the atomiser is attached the battery is only powering the LED. One of my Pilot batteries is very sensitive to vibration so I always carry that one around with the atomiser detached to save wear and tear on both battery and atomiser.

I have never tried putting glycerin in my juice because i havent had a chance to go to my local Walmart to get some.

The point of the matter is that if you need to put Glycerin in your juice just to get some satisfactory vapor out of your device, then the atomizers are still no good in my eyes. People usually put more Glycerine or PG to boost the vapor production of devices that already produce lots of vapor.

I always recommend 901's to new users because i think its the most easiest to use device which work great. Carts are easy to fill, parts are cheap and plentyful.

If you get the 901, i recommend that you also buy the USB passthrough for it because the batteries for the 901 are pretty weak.

Once you get your replacement atom. for your 401, i recommend that vaporizer as a "on the go" vaporizer just because the batteries last a good time....just make sure you pre-fill all your carts before leaving home since they are a pain to refill.

Battery should not be able to be over charged. The m401 chargers are rated at an output of 4.2V @ 100mA. The m401 battery is 4.2V 200mAh when fully charged. Therefor at that charge rate it is not possible to have the charger actually charge for more than two hours, and that is with the battery at it's low voltage cutoff. Ten and twelve hour charges (refered to as conditioning) are not mathematically possible, after 2 hours the charge cycle would have to be cancelled (for safety). Pics below are of two different charge sessions. The one that shows "end" on the computer screen was today, battery run down to low voltage cutoff, recharged @0.1A or 100mA, and as you see, it shut down after stuffing 194mAh into battery and computer display shows it took 110 minutes to do it at that charge rate. For better battery health I usually recharge often and don't run battery down to lvc. On the provided chargers, once you get the solid green led after all the cryptic red green flashes, it is done charging. It goes green when initially plugged into charger as charger checks the battery prior to the red and red/green flashes. Hope that helps somewhat.

Lordy, Lakota, that's a lot of tech info for this pea-brained gal...:D. I think what you're telling me is a 401 battery will be completely charged within 2 hours? And even if left on the charger it will cut off? And when first received the battery does not need to be charged for 12 hours...only about 2? Is this correct?

If I understand it that's good info to know. Thanks a lot!

I have a m401 I ordered from parked also, and it seems worthless...12 hour charge b4 I used it, now it works "OK" for like 20-30 puffs then the battery dies completley!! I'm pretty ......! Plus, when I put it on the included USB charger it says it's fully charged after only 2-3 minutes. WHAT IS GOING ON!?!? HELP!!

Hey MrDopeDeville...we're neighbors! You're getting about 20-30 puffs more than me...I can't seem to get any vapor at all. I've been told my atomizer may be shot and I'm beginning to think that's the problem. I've emailed the seller to see if they will replace it. I've got another M401 coming from dietsmokes this week and hope it will be better.

You might read Lakota's post right after yours about charging the batteries. It's good info.

when i got my pilot i hated it at first. I also have a pen style which i used more than the pilot, i couldnt seem to get good enough hits off the pilot. Well one night i was at a house party, seeing this band, and my battery for my pen style died completely, so i was forced into using the hybrid. By the end of the night it had finally started hitting right, and im now in love with it. ive been strictly using my pilot for 2 months now, i used my pen style for probably a year, and i must say i love the pilot. My break out with my pen style E-cig every now and then, because i feel sorry for it, its not fulfilling its purpose anymore.

This may be of great help. I found this thread last night and picked up a contact lens case this morn on my way to work. Works wonderfully. Good throat hit like a real smoke using this method of dipping atomizer wick in small puddle in a contact lense case.

I've had my Pilot for about 2 weeks now, and love it. I'm now using cartridges only when I'm out & about, and have been dripping on the atomizer when at home. Dripping works pretty well, but can get messy if I'm not careful, and it's near impossible if I don't have good light like when I'm watching a movie.

Last night it dawned on me that the only reason people started dripping was because the older models have a recessed atomizer. With the 401, the atomizer bridge sticks out, which makes it really easy to dip it in eliquid. I put maybe 10 drops in a shot glass, and just dip the atomizer into it. It gets the perfect amount of juice on it every time, and there's absolutely no mess.

I think a perfect solution for dipping while on the go may be a contact lens case. You can get them for maybe a dollar at about any convenience store, they should hold about the right amount of liquid for dipping, and they are designed to hold liquid without leaking.
