Ok, I'm trying to find this information but I'm not doing very well...

I'd like to know the difference between the M401, the M402, the M401v2 and the M402v2. I'm hoping Fedor could answer this if he sees it. Afaik absolutelyecigs is the cheapest place for these. Not sure if he is a distributor or not.. just wanting honest opinions.

I think the difference between the M401 and the M402 is length of battery. The M401 being longer. Other than that are the parts interchangeable? And what is the M401v2 ?? I'll continue to search and try to find out exactly what the deal is.. but if you can shed any light on this, please do.

Thank you.

Edit#1: Found out that the order of longest battery to shortest is M401-M402-M403... now I'm speculating that M401 is 2 holes on the atomizer? M401v2 is 4 holes? Not sure... will update as I learn.. Hopefully someone could answer these as I'm using the search function on the site... not too great of one.. but about average to most forums so no complaints.

Edit#2

It is finally here and shipping today!!

The New Ultra M401v2 is our newest mini model. It is matte black with a new much brighter Green LED, new micro-processor, upgraded power, new cutoff/reset timing, and even better performance!!

We are now officially shipping these new Ultra Kits and batteries... and some lucky customers have already received them!

Thanks All!!
Regards,
Sean

So, does that mean that there is a higher voltage on the M401? So many questions... just wish there were, or I could find, a side by side comparison of every M4xx series. Sorry if this is a repeat of any post.

Edit#3... Is Ultra @ electronic-cigz.com the only one with M401/2v2? I think I read somewhere that he has a say on specs, does that mean that the v2 is his addition to the normal one?

Wish someone that knew would post.

All of the M series models are interchangeable with their parts. You are right, it's mostly (pretty much completely) the difference between the battery size. I have no idea about the -v2 part.

I'm guessing the v2's might have manual batts unlike the old predecessors? I'm not sure.

...coming from a 510 user, so don't take my word as complete truth. (though the interchangeability is known)

V2 is just a way for retailers to hype up their model. Think about it, would the manufacturer produce a special V2 starter kit for just ONE particular vendor and sell V1 (inferior) parts to others? If they were to upgrade, they might as well upgrade all their models since they use the same old production line anyway. Doesn't make much sense to purchase two different type of raw materials to produce one better model and another inferior one. Simple economies of scale.

I sent an email asking if there were V2s to both AEC and some trade site CS. None claimed that they have even remotely heard about it but did say that their products are constantly being upgraded. Standard sales pitch.

Absolutelyecigs.com is the manufacturer, no doubt! All Mseries atties are four holes. All parts interchangeable. You are correct about the length. I'm not badgering any suppliers here. Just anwering questions based on my honest opinions, as requested by the OP.

Hope this helps. :)

M401/2/3 are all the exact same voltage, only difference is the length and overall storage of the battery (life).

The v2, as best as I can tell, is actually not a m401 at all, as it's advertised as having NON-interchangeable parts. This appears to actually be a new model which is close, but not the same. This is deceptive advertising, at best. Honestly, I'd never buy it.

Thanks guys. Placing an order for some M401 batteries and a bulk amount of atomizers.. a passthrough and a PCC. Not gonna chunk my M601 or anything just would like to have all those available options for right now. This charging batteries while I'm sitting in front of my computer seems silly.

I'm sure it'll get easier and easier the more gear I buy.

Was actually thinking about making a mod one of these days too. Doesn't seem too difficult.

One final question, if possible. Does anyone know of a promotional code at absolutelyecigs?

Strange but most chinese suppliers don't have coupon codes. I ordered many times from absolutelyecigs.com but they never have a promo code section. It never bothered me since i prefer the prices to be straightforward. Don't really like to shop around for codes. Its good that prices are always consistent, at least for me.

The bulk prices are pretty decent, especially for atties and liquid. Hope you enjoy them. :)
