Well . At first I was skeptical, but its been long enough for me to say im done with analogs.

iv been doing a bunch of searching and reading, and it seems to be a general concensus that, when vaping you take in about 30% of the nictoine give or take. This is what I find due to peoples reports on average analogs prior to switching, compaired to nic content and ml consumed once switching.
Keep in mind this is my own findings, not proven or scientifically backed up. And may or may not be roughly accurate. The people running tests say 10-50% .. I feel my estimate is more accurate

I looked at my own usage and it falls in that catagory too.

I smoked 20-25 analogs a day. Which would be about 20-25mg

nicotine.

Now I vape 3-5 ml a day at 18mg.

18*4*.3 gives me about 22 mg

Given in the first week or two 8 was at 5-10ml a day! But I noticed, without trying I tapered off to 3-5 seemingly automatically.

So now I have a bunch of diy supplies coming and will be making my own 16mg. And in the long run try to taper down 2mg every couple months.

So far success! To anyone thinking about giving pv's a shot.. I say do it! Its been a very easy step for me.

Ps- I was a pack a day smoker for 7 years.

Hello. Congrats on making the switch.

About DIY....I found when I started doing my own ejuice, I had to lower it. I know I measured everything correctly, but the nic just was so much stronger to me than the vendor ejuice. May be it was just me, but that is what I found. I only lowered it from 12mg to about 9-10, which isn't much, but it did help. YMMV.

And it just taste better too.

Good luck
:)

When I first looked into DIY juice had just started rba's getting better builds allowing me to vape at higher watts. So decided to look at mixing to lower my consumable costs. Not only can one customize there total vape juice preference but easily lower the nic level saving even more. I had to step my nic level down to 12 mg or get way over nic'd. Better the gear and builds the better the nic delivery.

Nic level has to be looked at from a gear related view. That's why it is important to listen to your body to determine proper nic level of juice. I was using 24 then 18 mg, but tis to much nic at my current level build and gear level, so continue to dial it down.

congrats on your vape success.

Vape long and Prosper!!

yeah, im going to be purchasing a magneto mod with a russian 91% in the future. but for now im just going to be rebuilding my protank 2 and areotank coils until i can justify spending more cash. spent a crazy amount trying different tanks and juices, as well as all my diy supplies. figure i better calm down for a bit

i have enough wire, wick, and juice to last me over a year, so ill probably feel justified to spend the next couple hundred in a couple months :) sure as hell a lot better than the wife and my $500 a month analog habit.

i did the math and we are at a $35 a month habit between the two of us now (not counting hardware)

also, planning to study the mods, and buy some cheapo clones from fasttech to understand how they work better, and see a bunch of different builds, and becasue i am a machinist by trade with an electrician background, i may attempt my own mod in the future. take all my favorite features of all the mods i check out, and make it into one :p :)

Hurray! My boyfriend has been analog free for three days.

He tried Maya e-cigs 6-months ago, but didn't like them. He went back to smoking. This past weekend he bought a Vision Spinner and Protank 2, and loves it!

I hope he keeps up the great work.
Same story as myself.

Soon as I got my protank 2 , that was it. Tried having an analog here and there. Maybe once a week, and I make it about 3 puffs in and toss it. Ita just not enjoyable compaired to my ecigs.

the protank 2 attys are super simple to rebuild too. But when it comes to flavor, my areotank and vivi nova take the cake. Harder to rebuild. But still easy enough.

I have been using the protank 2 mostly with the areotank base Instead. Solves all the leaking issues, makes rebuilds easier and quicker vs areotank, and provides the throat hit I love from the protank 2 :)

Congrats on your success. I do my own liquid too and wow... Much better juice in my opinion. You can lower your nic when you want and don't have to worry about running out. I keep huge 500 ml bottles of everything. I've found several flavors I make that I just love so I keep 50ml bottles made up of each. I was a pack a day smoker for over 20 years. I started at 12ml and was vaping about 8ml a day... But I found I love vaping more. Too many wonderful flavors. So I dropped my nic level to 6mg and now I Vape 8 to 10ml a day and get the same nic as before. This turned into a hobby for me. I'm now building my own atomizers too. It's fun.

Congrats again and good luck.
