Alright so here we go.

I mastered *I say this lightly* Genny style attys. I really did. But that's not what this is about. The problem is, I just don't like em. I don't want to deal with rolling wicks anymore, I don't want to deal with well, really anything about them anymore. So for the past month or so I've been vaping happily back on my Carto tanks (yeah I know. whatever)

Now, I've fallen in love with silica RBA but I simply can't deal with not having a tank on one. I don't like bringing a bottle with me when I go out yadda yadda yadda. So my question for you guys is this:

I'm looking for something, price is mildly relavant, that can store at least 3 mls of juice, uses primarily silica and doesn't need to fuss with NR wire + R wire (I wanted to get into the Killer but I don't feel like spending extra time spooling NR wire onto things).

So... What're the options here? I'm not interested in hybrid wicks, I just want to roll my coils on my silica, attach em to posts, and vape away, in a bloody tank. I know there are things like the Kayfun and the Taifun but they're not only impossible to find, they're bloody expensive (not to say I won't buy one if my email pops up saying they're in stock).

Do I have any other options aside from complaining?

Or...wick your RBA with ceramic wick (Nextel). Cut an inch or so of wick, wrap your desired coil around one in, install it in your RBA, fill the tank with juice and vape. Wicks very well, no flavor alteration, lots of vapor, can't burn. When the coil gets gunked up, just take it apart, rinse the wick, fire it up good over a good flame (I use the gas burner on the stove) to clean off any remaining gunk so that it looks brand new again, re-coil, install and vape away. I have no idea how many times you can do this, but my hunch is a lot. I bought two feet of this stuff a month ago and have only used than 2 inches so far (for two RBAs). I'm simply amazed with it. As I said before, I can't see a reason for using SS mesh wicks again unless I have some masochistic urge. It's that good.

Edit: Easier than rebuilding Vivi Novas, Protanks or whatever.

My first major positive eye opening vaping experience was via Genny styled RBAs, which I still enjoy. I slowly became drawn to silica based RBAs and have found my vaping sweet spot, in a manner of speaking.

Building a NR-R-NR coil assembly is quite simple, once you have done it a couple of times. It takes a handful of minutes to make one coil and have it ready to insert into a ceramic cup.

One of your simplest options is a clearomizer and you will still need to either carry a bottle of e- juice and/or spare delivery devices.

At the very minimum, I use a cartotank with a traditional cartomizer.

I trust that you find the best vaping scenario for yourself in short time.

AGI with a "U" silica wick is a win for me and not to expensive. Can roll a coil with R wire and drop the wick down the holes in under five minutes even when learning to use it. And bonus points when I want to use it as a dripper I just pull the wick up out of the holes and lay it out on the deck for dripper mode.

Your needs sounded a lot like mine were. I found it all in the Odysseus. Yes you have to join the R-NR wires but if I can get the hang of it with some practice even with my bad hands ( nerve damage, lots of shaking and lack of dexterity) i'm sure you can. Its much more forgiving than it Genesis, at least for me.

If you dont want to spend time stalking the classifieds for the out of production Odysseus V2 than you can give the Terminator/ Nautilas or even the Penelope /clone; Euphoria.

For me building coils/wicks was so much easier than the Vivi Nova and doesn't leak. If you do go for the Odysseus and dont like it, at least you dont loose money. THey hold their value + . THere is rumours that Imeo might make one last run, or at least he is going to produce all of the Ody parts again and you can put one together from parts ( actually comes out the same price as buying a new) or you can buy the Terminator and buy the rebuildable unit for Ody. Term/ Ody parts are compatible.

Just offering my experience. I hope you find something that makes you love using it.

Dude, Thanks. I've rebuilt clearo's in the past - they still leak, they still bleh. I'm hoping something like an oddy (or if I can find a Kayfun) will solve all of these problems.

I've got genny's, Odys, a spheroid and lots of Dripper RBAs but for out and about when I don't want hassles of leaks or bottles and pocket friendly I grab my Reo Mini with a Cyclone atty. 18500 batt last long enough for me, I have a 1.2 ohm coil with 29g Kanthal and Nextel wick. The REOmizer2 atty was out of stock when I ordered but I'll be getting one of them soon. Bottomfeeding will meet your needs and probably exceed them.

I understand what you are saying. I've pretty much mastered the ss mesh rbas and really enjoy them.. I do take them out when I go places. But they are a pain. I'm getting tired of always having to be aware of their position when not in use and again, always having to be aware of their position when I'm vaping. To me it's worth it for the vape.. but it's getting old. I have an Igo-l and while it holds a good amount of juice (I drip 20-25 drops at a time) I still have to carry a bottle with me if I go any where. I've looked at the term-c but I haven't tried twisting the RW with NRW and have stayed away from anything that involves that. I'm sure I could do it, just don't want to.

I traded my zap for a GP spheriod and love it. It holds a good amount of juice, I can top it off and go. My current build has been in use for a couple of weeks now. It's easy to coil, fill and refill. It's not as messy as one might think... actually it's not messy at all to refill. But my main mix, a peanutbutter/bavarian cream mix is not as good in it as it is in my DID or RSST. But my peach mix is awesome in it, I just use the peanutbutter more. I was on the list for a promety but I backed out, it's $120 shipped and I'm about over spending $100+ for a juice delivery system. My $30 RSST is performs just as good, if not better (and is a whole lot easier to set up) than my $100 DIDs.

I bought an EVOD and have been playing with it, recoiling it and using different juices but I don't really care for it. The flavor just doesn't compare to my ss mesh rbas. Going back to carto tanks just isn't an option anymore :( yuck.

I also have a drunker tank.. it's easy to recoil and I've discovered that it actually works much better if I just coil the wicks down in the bottom like a dripper and when I vape, the natural tilt feeds the wicks without having to feed them down through those small wick holes. I'm not too sure about how it will do if left on it's side since I just started using it this way. I just layed it down on it's side to see what happens.

I also like the looks and reviews of the MISTer silica hybrid device. But it's never in stock and rather expensive.

If you're interested in a spheriod type device, you could always get the A7 with the "oid". I'm planning on getting one to use with a bottom feeder and put the "oid" on it to see how it works. It's only $25

Having finally been grabbed by the ear and led over to the squonkers' trough like a schoolboy who doesn't know better, I feel like an idiot for not trying it sooner. It is WAY more pocket friendly than any 18650 tube with 4 mls of juice screwed on top. flavor is always as good as the first vape on a freshly refilled Genny (better, actually). It's really a no-brainer.
