Curious to hear the experiences of others.

I am still in the early days but have been smoke free for almost three months now. Purchased an e-cig (then tank soon after) on a whim online (cannot purchase e-liquid where I live) with no intention of quitting the analogs -just found the concept interesting, and haven't touched a cigarette since.

I know I am in my early days but I had chain smoked for a good seven years prior, and the very concept of quitting was stressful before I switched to vaping.

Am still mind=blown that I was able to switch so easily.

Your experiences???

Same day. In fact, first drag. I knew it would work.

It took a while to get over some of my mental hang ups... took almost three years to throw away the open pack of smokes on my desk (harder for me to be 'out of smokes' than to not smoke). Took a couple of years to be comfortable drinking good whiskey with a couple of friends of mine with whom I was in the habit of consuming a fine cigar and an expensive bottle of whiskey three or four times a year.... But I never lit another cigarette after the first drag from my first e-cig.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
It took me a couple of year. I made it 6 months the first time and foolishly talked myself into going back to smoking.

Now Im just over 2 years without a single cigarette.Cant tell you when the last I even had a momentary craving for one either.

It gets easier.Just remember that the number one trait shared by successful people is that when they fall they get right back up and try again.

Interesting, my experience is EXACTLY the same as yours........bought a Blu-cig completely on a WHIM. I have also cut down the nic. I still am amazed at how easy it has really been. I'm now coming up on 2 years completely ciggie-free.
Many congratulations on your fantastic achievement. Has it hit you yet? You're OFF the cigarettes. Do you realize what you have done? You are now a NON-SMOKER. How does that sound? :vapor:

Smoked my last cigarette on the way to a local shop where I bought a starter kit. Mornings were rough (without smokes) for a week or so. I think I'm one of the lucky ones too in regard to ease of quitting. Spent a lot of $$$$$ on gear to get to the point I'm at now but having put down a 47 year habit/addiction I'm making sure there's functional gear and a variety of flavors on hand at all times.

I smoked a pack and a half a day for 25 years.
And wanted it to stop.
I drove to a local B&M smoking the last cig in a pack on the way.Believing i'd probably be buying more, when i found out e-cigs didn't work.
Came out with an iclear vv and some juice and haven't touched tobacco since.6 months.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
Overnight, with a seven day hiatus, :?)

Smoked 3-4 cigars a day when I decided to quit. Went 7 full days without any nic, Started to think seppuku was a reasonable alternative, then I snuck my wife's e-cig that she had totally abandoned. Realized this could work, and I have never looked back.
Ego turned to vamo, PT2 turned to KFL, KFL turned to Fogger.
Right now its a Big Nasty driven Fogger, booya! Happy Happy!

We BOTH have 5 months TODAY and are having a whole lotta fun.

:?)

I have smoked for about 15 years, 2 months ago my friend found a b&m that had opened up near us. I really should not have been smoking since I have asthma, and get very sick ever winter, but i hate not being able to do what i want(I know stupid). Well my friend was driving and didnt tell me where he was going. We stopped at the b&m, just for him to get a ecig, but they had a juice bar. I tried all different types of ejuices, and ended up getting a starter kit. That pack of American Spirits that i had when i walked in was the last pack I have had since. I smoked almost 2 packs a day, and am really amazed that it was so easy for me. Cigs smell gross to me now. I have also been lowering my nic dose, i started at 24, and am now at 12. Not once have i wanted a cig, and i can breath, taste, and smell again, thank you ecig ppl.
