...it’s not really a desk. Just a “man spot” Mrs. Kodiak allows me to go to and clutter up and be a slob at (behind 2 closed doors and no windows).

Anyway… I’m trying to organize it yesterday and back against the wall in a plastic sack I find… well, I find a brand-spankin’ new, never-been-opened-before fresh pack of smokes! I haven’t seen a single cigarette in months much less a whole pack! Now… I held that shiny pack in my hand. I caressed it. I fondled it. I even smelled it. A flood of memories came back… like how ecstatic I always was to find an extra pack I didn’t even know I had. Praise the Lord… it’s like "free" cigarettes from Heaven!

Then, I chucked the damn thing in my special Kodiak-is-a-slob trash bucket and gave it a quick funeral. :)

So… could you all do the same? (Maybe you have). Thinking back and knowing I basically have no will power I’m actually surprised I did this.

I knew after two days of vaping, that I would never smoke again. It was first thing in the morning of the third day, I got out of the shower and my (now ex) gf had left her smokes in the bathroom. I lit one up and it tasted awful. I despised it. I knew in that moment, so long as I didn't have primary and secondary equipment failures and/or absence of juice, I would never smoke again.

That was June 1, 2012. I was right.

Good for you Kodiak. It's a great feeling, isn't it?
I'd have done the same, though I would have kept the pack and dumped just the cigarettes. I love the way a new pack smells

I had a nice lighter collection going as a smoker. I gave them to my dh to pass out at work, when I started vaping. The other day I found one of my old favorites, in a purse. Out in the trash she went.

Lighters. Amazingly, when I smoked I could never find one. Now the damn things are popping up all over the place! (I just can't seem to throw the little guys out though).

I found a pack in my car recently and it freaked me out. I didn't bother to wash it all winter because of the nonstop snow, but we had one spring-like day so I went for it. I guess the guys at the wash found it under the seat (only explanation as my car is immaculate inside) and stuck it inside my console. That was quite a surprise!

Thankfully my reaction was disgust and I ran to the nearest trash can. I didn't even want to touch it! Lol.

Me, neither, Kodiak. One of the last cigarettes I smoked, I could not find a lighter anywhere in my house, and had to light it on the electric stove coil. Singed my hair, too.:D But anything for a smoke, right?

Thank goodness those days are behind me.

I would give them out to the homeless. They all seem to like to smoke and why not give something back to the community?

Actually, many homeless have mental issues that nic actually helps chill out. In many cases it helps them concentrate and focus, or get through a depressive episode.
I gave a bunch of CASAA info to my case manager, along with business cards from vendors he could pass out to his clients hoping to quit smoking. Yep, got the ol' PTSD, Chronic Depression, and Panic Disorder, and smokes were my best friend many, many times! Glad I found an alternative!:)

If you find any Dunhill or Corona Old Boy lighters in your collection, let me know. I'll help dispose of them for you.

I never intended to quit cigarettes entirely when I started vaping. I did ryo for the last couple of years I smoked. I had a couple hundred of them made and sealed up. Though not my original intention I quit smoking about a week after I started vaping. For a couple of months I guess those ryo's all sealed up were my emergency fail safe stash. One day I just got tired of looking at them and tossed all of it including my ryo equipment, a couple of lbs of tobacco and a couple hundred filter tubes.

Great job Kodiak! It is great to be rid of the stinikys. I have a slightly different approach.....

I have about half a pack in thee cup holder in my car (I have two cupholders because coffee is still critical to my existence). Every morning I look at the pack and thank god I found vaping. Only been a little over 3 weeks but I know I'm never going back!
