at home depot-2 for 4.95, they come with a rubberized coating in a hotrod motif(see my avi pic). I had covered the paint job with tape to try and protect it while I drilled my button hole and the damn rubber coating pealed off in bits when I removed the tape, so I decided to take all the paint off and go au natural, I think it looks alright. Takes 2 cr2's or a 14500, pretty sure I'll be able to fit an 18650 in there also. The button is a 12mmx12mm tactile with arubber boot I got off of a donor flashlight, nice clicky click action, and 901 is my choice for juice hoggin...

doubt it, pretty standard flashlight mod, one leg of switch wired to pos. of the pcb that comes in the flashlight, other leg of switch to the center atty connection. Wish I had the foresight to take pics during my mod builds, sorry.
No prob...
I found another thread with some killer mods.
Thanks anyway.

the atty connector plate is a piece of 3/16 aluminum that I shaped down to press fit in the flashlite, the flashlite is like the one I'm holding in my avatar pic, that one is using the rca jack setup.

<-------this is what the flashlights look like from home depot

Thy, the flashlights used in this mod are different than the ones you linked. 2 weeks ago my Home Depot had them in stock (in 2packs in hardware section). I don't see them on the HD website but my store at least has/had them in stock. You might just check your local store if you want some? Otherwise, let me know and I can pick some up and ship 'em to you?

Thanks for the offer MM. I was actually just curious though if they were the same or not which I see from tdstrikes comment they weren't. I didn't see them at our local HD last I was there but then again I wasn't specifically looking for them either and we all know how they like to scatter things out around the store.

If I ever get around to getting some tools and actually using up the mod parts I already have here then maybe I'll look for some of these ;)

I actually didn't find those lights at the 3 home depots that I went to but I did find some that I liked better at Advanced Auto Parts. They have a screw off cap for the top piece that I think works wonderfully and not only that, if you don't mess putting a switch on the side, you can fit an 18650 in it. Here's the link to the post:
