So you like dripping on the Provari? I was thinking about getting a dripper for mine for more conveniently trying different flavors, but everyone acts like dripping is for 25watts and above only or else it won't work or something.

lol...ignore those people, imo :) maybe higher watts is what some prefer but many don't. me? all I do is drip (granted, bottom up) and don't even have variable wattage, 'cause that's how I roll and I don't even see the point. point being - give it a shot, if you like it roll with it :vapor:

They're vaping snobs :) - kidding. But a LOT of drippers are primarily cloud chasers, so they like going über hot, sub-ohming and pushing the wattage really high. I'm not like this, I just like a good vape, smooth and flavorful. I don't care about clouds, and I like my vapor warm.

So yeah I like it on the provari, since I got this magma yesterday. It produces a really awesome vape - smooth, consistent (unlike my KFL and any other atty I've tried, including the basic bottom feeders I have on the Reos), and most importantly incredible flavor. And I've always been slightly flavor-frustrated, so that's saying a lot.

Dripping is just "no having a tank", nothing more to it.

This particular atty is even more awesome because you don't have to drip every couple of puffs, which is the major PITA of dripping (and the main advantage of the Reo).

And yeah, you can switch juices to your heart content, and test a dozen of them if you want to, which is the primary reason I got the Reos (and now the Magma) in the first place. To be honest I didn't expect it to ever become my primary atty.

But now I will just keep using the KFL when I'm on the move and need the convenience (and safety) of a tank. Otherwise, be it at home or at work, where I can drip a ml or so before going out for a smoke break, I will go Magma.

I just ordered two more.

If I ever did anything other than bottom feed (I won't, but just saying), I'd drip. I detest tanks - I may pull an office space on my ol' KFL LOL

Dripping, normal or bottom, is where it's at; no hassle, just vapor :vapor:

that said I don't like the act of dripping, except to mix in a new flavor or test one out. at least the Magma holds a lot of juice like you say Mistike - that's a huge plus!

A few month ago I wanted an RDA. I went to two local shops and was told at both I couldn't drip on my regulated device. I now know it's because they are crazy sub ohmin cloud chasers. I paid too much for a mod and atty that I'm not crazy about. The guy who taught me to build coils built me out at .5 the first time. Say whaaaat?? I just wanted good flavor and to learn to build coils so I could get a REO. I try to keep my coils right around .8. Perfectly safe with great flavor and reasonable vapor.

If I remember right, Provaris are limited to 15 watts, that is plenty of power to enjoy dripping. I usually run between 9-12 watts, depending on the juice. If you want huge clouds, then by all means get a mechanical mod, but it sounds like you're looking for the best flavor, so you will be okay...

I generally stay at 8.5 and below even on a dripper. My thoughts are this, and mind you I'm not a scientist or a doctor, nor do I play one on TV. But I got into vaping as harm reduction after having been born into a never ending cloud of toxic smoke. So I try to keep my watts low and focus on the harm reduction part because I've already been harmed enough. To me running hot at massive wattages negates the harm reduction which is the whole reason I'm doing this to begin with.

Those are very grounding sentiments! Sometimes I need bringing down to earth with such things and fanciful notions :)

hey Mistike, aren't you the pioneer of Cremonda - 75% Wakonda, 25% creme brulee? I just put one drip of CB onto my Wakonda wick and thought it tasted fantastic, way more complimentary than i thought...debating putting that mix in the bottle!

I told you it was good ! It's one of my staples, I have 2 50ml pre-mixed bottles of it. It gets better after a few days, so yes, try it in its own bottle.

Mistike, since you said the TH was a bit much. Have you tried playing with the height of the coil over the air hole? Obviously there's not a ton of adjustment but I noticed a difference when I got the coils as close as possibleto the airhole without any part touching. At most we're talking about a few mm's of adjustment but I noticed a difference.

Yes. My coil is as close to the air hole as I could safely get it. I tried a mm or two higher, and the TH was a tad better - but not enough to make up for the flavor loss :p. So I put it back down. I find that it's getting better now. Either I'm getting used to it, or rewicking helped. Probably a bit of both.

When I picked up my rda a couple months ago it was only due to my frustration with tanks (flooding, cracking, leaking, ect). At first I only intended it for home use and still struggled day to day with my protank whoas. After a week of messing around and finding my flavor sweet spot, and noticing the durability/reliability I am a full-time dripper! I have a 1.7ohm single micro coil build right now that is top notch for flavor, spits some pretty descent clouds too! Though I'm not a cloud chaser by any means, but the throat hit is perfect. I do get strange looks and plenty of questions from time to time, I really don't mind though. I say if it works for you then embrace it! Bonus side is my rda got me to drop my nic level from 18mg to 6mg, with an emergency stash of 12mg virus for those stress monents!

So ahem.... I may or may not have bought a couple more magmas, and may or may not have given in and gotten a DNA30, and they all may or may not have arrived today (in 2 days, wow).

And I may or may not be in vaping heaven right now.

Holy Zotz.

(also, I may or may not have built my first dual coil, which looks pretty ugly but vapes like a champ. Will get the hang of this soon.)

BUT MY OREO IS STILL VISITING THOUSAND OAKS. There's nothing to see there, Juice, come home.

I kinda envy those of you who find that dripping causes you to drop nic...it kind of did for me, 12 is my go-to instead of 18, but half the time I still use my 18 (not because I need to but it doesn't bother me so I'm using it up) 6 is still too low for me, but one day :)

Have you tried 9 ?

nah - I'll eventually cut down to 9 and 6, but 12 is cutting it close for me at the moment. I was heavily addicted to nicotine (and still am) when I smoked cigs - over a pack of rolling tobacco a day :(
I hear ya there, when i started vaping i started with 18mg and that kept my cravings down quite well. For six months almost, it was only in the last four weeks that I started dropping my nic level just because 18mg started to feel really harsh. I went down to 12mg then right to 6mg a week later. Just take it slow and make the change when you feel ready.

I've been using 18nic for almost 6 months but now I think I'm wishing all my liquid was 6nic. I'm very fond of the Reo and kayfun, and ordered my magma today.

Have a feeling my aerotanks aren't going to get so much use now. Still going to continue using them when I'm out and about, and for barn and yard work.
