As some of you may know, i was having a problem with a new atomizer which was always giving me a burnt taste no matter how much liquid i put in (unless i flooded the thing)

So i decided to remove the threads. I thought it worked until 3 drags later i got a burnt taste again.

So i figured I would remove the bridge (after watching a video tutorial) After doing that i saw some threads (which i thought i removed all of them) were wrapped or underneeth the coil. After removing those, i dripped and vaped and vaped and vaped and NO MORE BURNT TASTE.

It doesn't taste as good (not as strong or flavorful as it regularly tastes but its a hell of alot better then having that nasty burnt taste and when i mean burnt i mean BURNT). The atomizer gets hot quicker as well as burns juice alot quicker, but that's a sacrifice i will have to make considering it would have been a atty that i would have never used for the fact that it tasted really burnt all the time before i removed the bridge.

My other atty which is blk cherry flavor is working fine for the last week (i will not remove the bridge/wick as it has no problems at all) but again i removed it from this one because that burnt taste was horrible.

Seeing as i removed the bridge, im sure people has done it was well, how often do i need to drip and how much?

I'm doing 2 drips dirrectly on the coil and re drip as i get alot less vaper but still not sure how often or how much to drip without having the bridge/wick.

I tried that last week mainly because i wanted to check on the carbon build up that has been killing my atties. I killed the atty in less then a week mainly because i would forget to juice it up after it was sitting for awhile. I also noticed it didn't hit as well without the wick. My other atty i got at the same time stopped tasting nasty after a day of use. It still will if it gets on the dry side but mainly it does a good job. Two drips is about right if you ask me. It will start to hit better after a little while too, but still not as good as one with a wick. I got a 5 pack of atomizers coming this week and i am going to work on a way to get that nasty taste out of it from the start. I will post back up if i can find a good way. Just remember to put a drip in it if it has been sitting for awhile to get you some juice on the coil.

thanks, the problem is, the atty tasted like crap/burnt ALL DAY, and i eventually found out (after removing the bridge) that some of the wicking was lodged on the coil (it was slightly burnt considering it was less then 1 days use and allways kept wet).

My other atty that i used is fine, and i will not remove anything, but this atty.... well it was a problem from the start.

The one youve removed the wick from you will need to redrip as SOON as the flavor starts to taper off and get faint. Or you will get a horrible acrid taste. I use 2 drips each time, although occasionally it needs 3.
I wouldnt recommend people remove stuff with brand new kit but you already said it was a last-chance thing for YOUR particular atty so I can see why you were tempted lol. I might try it one day but I hate to sacrifice an atty just for my curiosity.
I drip all the time btw, but I dont remove bridges or anything, I just think the flavor is better with dripping :)
