I've been a fult time vaper for a while now, and have recently had a string of issues with EGO and Riva batteries. I think its time to move up to an all mechanical MOD. Im pretty happy at 3.7V, but I wouldn't mind trying 6v if the device was compatible with both.
Im looking for suggestions on something built like a tank, reliable, all mechanical, not box shaped, and sold by someone with good customer service.
I don't have $1000000, but Im also willing to pay up to $90. What would you recommend among the plethora of mods available these days?

I always recommend the Prodigy from Puresmoker because I've hammered mine and it has never let me down. I'm a huge fan of mechanical mods - I just love the idea that there is literally nothing that could stop me from a vape besides my consumables (battery discharged, carto fail, juice running out). There are other well-reviewed mechanicals out there like the Screwdriver MKII, Mako, GG's, & 'Don, but I found the Prodigy the best imho.

I run mine daily at 3.7/5/6/7.4v & it's a champ. It's $85 + batteries, so it might be a little out of your budget, but I think it's well worth it. There's even a few in the classies for under your $90 price point and those come with batteries and even some extras.

Good luck.

I was just getting ready to post the same thing as you did, almost word for word. I have killed all my egos and my rivas and cannot afford to keep this up. I also don't have much money but cannot, really cannot go back to smoking, my heart and my bones and my daughter simply won't allow me to ever smoke again. I am looking for exactly the same thing you are, something that won't take the light bill and something that won't break or die on me in three weeks. Oh, I wish us luck...

I'm loving my variable volt mod from a fella on these forums. I got one without a display for $55 and 1 with a display for more. I use regular attys with them- no low res ones. They go from 3 volts to 6 volts with a dial. I plan on buying 1 every 2-3 months for a spare. What the heck, cigs are $10 a pack in NY! I save money by making my own DIY nic juice so I'm going to splurge on mods instead:)

What he said. The v3.1 is a good mechanical mod and its made from stainless steel so dropping it wont break it.And it ain't real expensive. The only drawback(it ain't a bad one) is the odd size 17670 battery for
3.7v,everybody has 18650's,but not many have 17670's

I have to recommend a megalodon. I absolutely love mine! 3.7v/4.8v/6v/7.4v compatible. Very nice design, can be converted into a smaller package as well.

In mini 3.7v mode:

In full mode, you can run it at 3.7v, 4.8v, 6v, and 7.4v.

I also like the megalodon but there are others out there , recently i heard the lava tube which is a vv is being shipped and i believe its in your price range.
I have seen the megalodon go in your range also in the classifieds at various times and in months to come there will be a vv module for it as well to screw into it , i heard this on the uk forum from the maker.
