That's what those nimrods can't get into their tiny little heads , we never claim that they are good for every1 , we are claiming that they are an alternative to smokers as a nicotine delivery system and that's it.

I've never recommended egis to non smokers and I even told an ex-smoker co-worker who asked me about them that she shouldn't try 1 since she has already stopped the habit by conventional ways .

Recently I was visiting family and my father kept harping on me about my ecig. "What about all those chemicals" he kept asking. I explained that I make my own juice and told him exacty what was in it and he still was skeptical and suggested I just quit altogether. Then I just said, this is my body and my mind, you, nor anyone else has the right to dictate what I do with my body or my mind, they are mine to do with as I please. End of discussion.

This discussion has been held before. To all you people blowing these people off as dumb, I believe it's our public duty to try and calmly inform these people.

I always ask what they heard and where, they're never able to answer clearly. I then proceed to educate in under a minute and leave them confused and that's enough. I think the last thing nail in our coffin will be to get the public put against us fed with lies, which is happening as we speak. Especially the last year the anti-vaping offensive has grown enormously.

They can push my buttons all they want and watch with glee as I start twitching at hearing every lie and try to correct them. I don't care, these are facts we need to set straight to keep vaping alive.

there is one and only one reason people do this. 30 years of demonizing smokers to the extent that most people have more sympathy for a @%$& addict has given them the right to do so. yes, they think it is their right to approach you and wag their finger in your face berating you like a five year old who just knocked the flower vase off the table. while men tend to be more snarky, woman get a real power trip off this as they believe there moral high ground would prevent any sort of back talk ,let alone a sensible rebuttal. you are required by the social norms to stand there quietly and meekly and take your well deserved public berating. and lord help you if any chillin' are around. my advice is we all should start dressing like hard core bikers or retired police and military personnel. work on that leave me alone scowl. this dissuades them 99.9 % of the time.(.01 % are just whack jobs) this also has the added benifit of preventing P.E.T.A people from bothering you.

I laugh at most who come off that way without giving info on vaping, must say most people around them move away from the idiot knowing they have no facts and are really just haters in general.I know its better to give advice which is always given when asked a real question, but its more fun to laugh at arrogance.

I had someone tell me: "Those things are bad. They have propylene glycol in them".

I -tried- to explain the research on PG and how it is well studied and in more than just e-cigs. Problem was, they were either far too ignorant to listen or didn't want to admit they were terribly wrong. Either way, a very stupid thing to say. People think just because something has a fancy science name means it is bad.

That's the 'scary' sounding ingredient.

Refer them to the ingredients listing on their toothpaste and cough syrup. 2 items virtually everyone has in their house, and can readily relate to.

This came up recently, and someone offered a quick list of other very common products that contain it. If I can find the listing, I'll come back and share.

Personally I've started carrying around the top 20 rebuttals to win an ecigarette debate in printed copies with the links printed out as well. I take it out and hand it to them and tell them if they're do passionate against ecigarette a maybe they can be as passionate about reading how they are wrong. I've yet to have anyone hand a copy back and have witnessed most sit down and start reading ut

I just smile and thank them for their interest in my health. I smile some more and talk about how excited I am to finally be able to breathe, without coughing up a lung every morning. I practically jump for joy as I tell them how good I smell and how my clothes and car don't have burn holes in them. THEN I talk about how no smoking pills can make you suicidal and patches and gum made me smoke more. Gleefully expound upon my new-found faith in life and more money in my pocket.

I ask them if they know any smokers they want me to talk to. You get the idea...pretty soon they are running to get away from ME!

Yep, and children's medicines, eyedrops, and when they walk into a bakery shop they're inhaling all of the ingredients in our ejuice. I haven't heard of any bakery chefs that have been hospitalized because of it yet, and they've baked cookies, cupcakes, and cakes every day for decades.

This is the correct answer.

I've been confronted, and I've educated. Those that refuse to listen, I just smile at them and pity their ignorance and unwillingness to learn. I actually confronted my daughter, who introduced me to vaping. I was against it until I read up on it and how much better it is than smoking for your body. Knowledge is power!
