Hmm. I have the kayfun lite but maybe I can still tell you what I've been doing. What kind of wick material and wire are you using? 2mm ekowool in figure 8 and 4 wraps of 30g kanthal has given me a very smooth, clean, and full flavor. Wire is wrapped around 3 pieces of wick. Are you positioning the wick correctly over the air hole? Also did you fire up the coils before wetting with eliquid to see if they were lighting up nicely (don't do if you are using cotton).

I find the kayfun flavor to be much smoother than other attys. Depending on the build an rda like the nimbus can be stronger but not necessarily better plus everyone has different preferences . I use the 2mm figure 8 as well with 5 wraps of 30g @ 1.7ish ohms . I also find the flavor improves after the wick soaks overnight. Lastly I lightly torch my ekowool or silica before building. If I don't the kayfun produces an odd taste for the first few hours. I never got that on other attys but the kayfun brings out all flavors, even the bad ones

My favorite set up for the Kayfun Lite: Micro coil using 11 wraps of 28ga kanthal around a 1/16 drill bit. It comes out to 1.3Ω. The wick is simply a piece of sterile cotton, from just the cotton balls you can get at the drug store. Just size the piece of cotton so that it threads easily through the coil, which is already mounted.
I've built figure eights with ekowool and silica; and I prefer the micro coil/cotton set up. JMO

Been using my new Kayfun Lite for the last 3 days.

I notice when the taste diminishes from chain vaping, I plug the air hole in the base of the unit with my finger and suck on the tip for a second or two. I feel this may bring juice into the chamber quicker allowing it to soak the wick more. It seems to work for me. Hope this helps.
