So.. is the 18490 enough or does everyone get the extension?

I am a heavy vaper… 5v… will the 18490's last me at least 2-3 hours?

I bought the extension with my first provari, I now have a total of 3 and opted out of getting 2 more extensions just because the paint tends to come off very easily with the extended caps, not so much with the mods but the extended caps look horrible after awhile. I vape heavily too about 5-6 mls a day, one 18490 will last me most of the day, I have a total of 3 batteries I make sure I always have two fully charged back up batteries. I honestly didn't notice much of a difference, the caps were a waste of money to me, the original caps have such a better finish. Just my own opinion though.

I get between ten and twelve hours on an 18490 if that's any help (g).

I use the 18490s in my Provari I usually get a good 10 to 12 hours off one charge. I'm not a super heavy vaper but I'm not a light vaper either. You will definitely get a lot more than 2 or 3 hours though.

It's hard to say for SURE, but I really think it will.
I can run any battery, but tend to go with 18490's all the time. I like the size.
And while I usually have 2 devices juiced up, I think I could hit just one and still get 5-6 hours.

I got the extension and 650 battery just in case. I keep a 490 in most of the time, and keep a 490 and 650 with me just in case while Im at work.

I don't know about the 18490, but the 18650 lasts me all day and night. I just wanted something to last as long as possible and I'm really glad I got them instead.

I would save the money from an ext cap and pick up a couple extra 18490's and just swap as you go.

I got it, and think it'll be worth it...

Still pretty small in 650 mode (even smaller than Sigelei Zmax V3, if that helps any)

I have never owned any 18490 batteries. My ProVari came with an extension + the original end cap, and I have since added one of the custom end caps and a Twins extension to put it on. It's either 18650's or 18350's in all my mods. I consider the 18490 too big to be small, and yet, not big enough for what I need.

I ordered a standard with the 18490s. I considered getting an extension cap and 18650 batteries, but for financial reasons I passed on it. Do I wish I did now? Yes and No. I really like the silver end cap of the standard. I got the red / black hybrid and more red would be nice too.

As for battery life. I'm still jumping all over the place. Sometimes I'm getting the better part of 2 days others more like 8-10 hours. I am switching between various toppers and therefore using different voltages while I'm still figuring out what topper I like best. My average gets me what i need out of the 18490s which is the better part of a day.

I thought I was a heavy vaper but after reading many posts here on ECF I guess actually I'm not.

if you are as heavy as I am (about 14 ml a day),,,,,,,,,,,yes, it will hold you JUST 3 hours.

I'd get the extension cap and 18650 batteries as well though,,,,,,I wish I had, and now it's on my birthday list

dang, I don't know how you people DO it,,,,,I get JUST 3 hours out of my 18490s,,,,,,occasionally, when I'm busy (today I ran around shopping, doing errands, etc) I get 4-5 hours out of it,,,,,,

Yeah, I never get more than a few hours out of a mod… and I have used several… I vape like a beast… but 3 hours out of an 18490 would be great - I am fine with three hours - I am more worried about less than 2...

I'm a very heavy vapor and am very glad i got the extension cap for the 18650s. I can kill a 18490 in a couple hrs. I do us the AW IMR batts, i just vape 5v constantly.

Heavy vapor here.....about 7 to 8 mls a day. I use 3 18490's a day....maybe even 4. I prefer this size, but use all sizes.
There is a newish AW 18490 out at Vapor Kings, black in color, 1500 MAH for 9.95 each
