So I've been using my 510 for a few days now after returning the blucig. Manual vs auto battery.

So my first dip into vaping was the blucig. While it is identical in size to a standard size cigarette it really doesn't perform well enough. battery life is pitiful and the cart life is as well. The way the PCC is set up for it is 2nd to none. I wish they would produce something exactly like it for the 510. the best PCC for the 510 I found at madvapes but it 2010-11-28 17.20.57.jpg2010-11-28 17.21.32.jpg
It lacks a spot for the fully assembled cig. The pictures attached show the size difference. The increased battery life and vapor prodution are more than worth it. The 510 is about 1mm larger around is about the length of a real 100 cig so its acceptably sized for my taste.

You can seen I have the white 510. I a white atmoizer(the white part/gold band) and a black cart. I ordered some black atomizers to help it look more like a standard cig. I also ordered some black cartomizers to see if I like the 2piece or 3 piece method better with the cartomizer it will eliminate the gold band as well.

When I ordered I wasn't sure if I would like the manual batteries. pressing a button seemed fairly far removed from smoking a normal cigarette. To be honest its fairly natural, and the manual button battery allows you to press the on button a second before you inhale and you get a much larger ammount of vapor. You also don't hve to worry about inhaling fast enough to keep the battery happily on.So I ordered more manual batteries and will probably shelve the auto battery.

I know for sure I'm vaping more than I smoked. Simply because its easy to and don't smell and I can do it inside. Seems to me I get roughly 10 cigarettes from a standard cart. But I havn' actualy made a serious attempt at comparing.

I think when I get my cartomizers I will probably end up going that route and refilling the cartomizers.

Well I just wanted to post my experience for others. anyone looking for a vaporizer that is close to cig sized the 510 works very well and is affordable. Me and my gf..while we were aprehensive to begin with about the manual battery both prefer it over the auto battery. One battery lasts me a whole day at work. I get 4 breaks on a 12hr day..and I DO occasionally sneak out of sight or to the bathroom for a puff here and there. I keep a 32mg cart for use at work since Its usually eat..puff..and run back to work.. and I use 18 or 24mg at home.

I'm sure you will be much happier- going from the BluCigs to the 510's- I DO agree with you on the PCC. I wish the 510 had a spot to hold a fully assembled one, but you will get past that soon enough. Did you get a few bottles of juice with your kit to re-fill the carts? The pre-filled ones go pretty quick, so you have to make sure you're stocked up on nic to be able to stay off the analogs. Also, keep in mind, alot of the US juice does require 1 1/2 to 2 weeks to steep (age) for the flavors to settle in and become flavorful. I do believe you would like the cartomizers better than the catridge/atomizer combo. You can fill them without a syringe too, btw!
Good luck and enjoy your new vaping adventures, both of you!

Yeah I actually order from totally wicked. I got the small kit that came with one battery, one atty, a couple blank carts and a 10ml bottle of juice vs the standard get up that comes with 2 bat 2 attay and prefilleds. So it was like 23 vs 45$ then I added a pack of batteries and atomizers and threw in a 5 battery charger to boot! to the cart it was the cheapest way to get what I wanted in one order and be set for awhile. I also ordered a couple bottles of juice. Thanks for the info on the flavor aging.

I was aware of filling the cartomizers with a needle I ordered mine from litecig(soft cap boog) and got some syringes as well. It should make filling a breeze.

Vaping on the 510 is easily keeping me of the analogs and I've quickly come to prefer vaping as many have. It took about a week. but even when I only had the blu I knew I prefered vaping. I think your right about getting used to the PCC. I think having a PCC in the car or my coat and having just a tiny clip case like the one I saw at cignot that only holds a single fully assembled cig to have on me at all times will probably be ideal.
