So many choices! What are the "Name" brands vs knockoffs?

I'm relatively new to vaping, it's only been a few weeks, and since I've found this site I've been educating myself day & night. The problem I'm running into is that I keep hearing about these batteries, or that tank, and doing mods, etc, etc. Names are being thrown all over the place, and I don't know which are the name brands, and which are the knockoffs. When I spend my hard-earned cash, I like to get my dollar's worth, so buying what is best makes sense. My first setups were cheapies from the B&M down the road, since then I've "upgraded" to Vision Spinners & Kangers & Aspires. I'm not even gonna start with all the ejuice vendors! Soooooo, to my main question: What are the main brands? To make this easy to digest, let's put them in two basic catagories.

Batteries or tanks.

I also try to buy Made In USA if I can, so if you happen to know if they are made somewhere else, please post that.

Well...there's a lot of stuff out there If you're looking for us made stuff...you're going to have to go with mods for a device.

Most of the toppers come from China. You can find rebuildable atomizers made in the U.S. and other countries. Joyetech is a popular Chinese brand, and has a good rep. innokin is another popular one out of China. Kanger is a popular brand for clearomizers (China). Plus a decent variety of products from European manufacturers. If you see a product that piques your interest do some research. Also research the vendor to see if they've got a reputation for selling knock offs. Congrats on making the switch Hopefully some other members chime in with more links/advice, and you don't end up over whelmed
