Hello all!

I've been analog free for 10 days now! I love my eGo-T with the LR atomizer but i had some questions about a few things.

Whats the difference between a Carto and an Atty?

Whats the difference between VG and PG and which is best for my current setup?

Also can anyone recomend me another setup that would deliver a more consistant vape? It seems to be a hit or miss with the eGo addy's and i really hate to fuss around tweeking it just to get it right. Is there something out there that is just a Load and go type deal without all the fussing around?

Minne-soda!
An cartomizer is an atty and a cartridge built into one with the filler inside it and the atty at the bottom. Some find this easier than the 2 piece. Pg is thinner than vg.

I'd be one to recommend a kgo setup with cartomizers, try darkcityvapor.com or sweet-vapes.com to look at kits. Cartomizers go for a decent long time and hold a little decent amount of juice. You should keep the filler wet but it should last you a while.

Congrats.
PG enhances flavor and TH
VG= vapor
Nic= TH
Most common juices are 80/20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG.
Delivery systems
Atty
Carto
Punched carto + tank
Clearomizer- (wick, element and juice storage area in one tube
There are other delivery systems but these are the ones used by most.
I DIY 60/ 40 PG/ VG juice and use a tank/ carto system.

Now that I've re read your post realize you could buy a Clearomizer and try that on your ego OR but tank + pre punched carto and try that. In "most" instances it's not so much the PV but the delivery system when vapers are not happy with the result. If you're still not happy you could buy a Kgo starter kit for $40 or an E-Power for about $50. Both are true 3.7 volts and solid PVs. You could then use the tank or Clearomizer with the new PV. Tanks or Clearomizers make vaping so easy IMO.

Congrats on your 10 days of success! Are you using the full eGo-T system, i.e. you fill the plastic tanks with the flat mouthpieces which go inside a tube-looking atomizer which screws onto your battery etc etc? Or do you have an eGo-T battery with a separate, non eGo-T LR atomizer (perhaps with a drip tip attached)? Keep in mind that nearly all eGo batteries these days are labeled "eGo-T" - however, this is somewhat misleading, because eGo-T more correctly refers to the eGo's proprietary tank-fed atomizer system, since virtually any atty / carto setup will work on an "eGo-T" battery.

A Carto(mizer) is an Atty(atomizer), but an atty is not necessarily a carto. Typically "Atty" refers only to the heating element which turns your juice into vapor. Unless you plan on manually dripping 1-2 drops at a time onto your atty every 3-4 minutes, Attys will require some means of delivering the juice to the heating element. This "juice delivery" method can be a cartridge with foam / polyfill inside, it could be the tanks that the eGo-T system uses, OR it could be...

A Carto! Cartos (cartomizers) are mostly wonderful little pieces of equipment which combine the heating element (atomizer) with a delivery system in one convenient unit. A great choice for beginners and veterans alike is the Boge LR cartomizer; these cartos work wonderfully with any eGo batteries. The "atomizer" portion of this carto is a vertical coil which reaches from the bottom battery threading to 5mm or so from the top where your drip tip would go, and its self-contained delivery system is a white polyfill which surrounds the coil. In the most basic possible terms, you prepare this cartomizer by soaking the white fluffy polyfill with your juice of choice (70PG/30VG or 80/20 is a good place to start, although the Boge LR cartos are very forgiving and much less picky about the viscosity of your juice than other systems like the eGo-T or eGo-C atomizers...so feel free to experiment).

I'm not exactly sure of what your current setup is, but the Boge LR cartos provide a much more consistent vape than most atomizer systems (including the eGo-T atomizer, in my experience). It is possible to get a consistent, quality vape using atomizer-based systems, but these typically involve a much steeper learning curve than the simplicity of the vertical coil, polyfill-based Boge cartomizers.

If you could post pictures of your equipment or, better yet, give a few links to the web pages you'd purchased the items from, it would be much easier to recommend the proper PG / VG mix, any additional equipment suggestions, and tips on getting the most out of your current setup. Feel free to PM me if you feel overwhelmed or if you still have outstanding questions not addressed in the thread...good luck on your new journey! :toast:

As others have mentioned, you will want to try cartomizers. If you already like the low-resistance atomizers, stick with a low resistance cartomizer. You fill these, top them off every night, etc. There are many videos showing you various methods of filling them.

On the PG/VG thing, the folks above me have already explained this to you. I find it best to get a juice that is blended with both PG and VG since they both offer something different. If you are new, stick with high PG and low VG, juices that are like 80/20 PG/VG, or70/30 PG/VG should work fine. 40% or more of VG is not really optimal for cartomizers as its too thick to wick properly, though this can and does vary by juice and vendor.

Keep the egot for the batteries, no need to buy a new kit when you have the batteries already. Get some Boge LR cartomizers, they will make a world of difference in the amount of flavor and consistency just keep them wet after the initial fill. Pg is propalene glycol, vg is vegetable glycerin, most e liquids are a blend of pg and vg and some are all pg or all vg. Vg is thicker and with the tank system it can produce wicking problems. You can also get a stardust for the go battery, personally I hate the things but others rave over them.

I'd be one of those who love them. Been vaping for just over a month and I love how easy they are to use. I haven't touched the ego-T atties and "tanks" since I tried my first Stardust. My SO is the same. I've stocked up on them from a good sale and have about 7 rotating right now.

Yep just converted someone a few days ago and got him an Ego-C 1000 mah with Vision Stardusts cuz I knew he'd have problems with any other delivery system. Also he is 100+ km away and is not on the net. He loves the simplicity of filling them.

Whats a stardust?

Ah nevermind tj99959's link answered my question lol.

What do they mean by drip tip? is that the vector for the juice to hit the element or does it have to do with filling it
