Ok so I just started and am trying to find flavors I really like!
So, I have ordered 16 flavors so far, and have another 10 on the way...
but
I load a cartomizer, and if i like it I smoke it... however, if I dont like it it gets put aside.
I am presently at ONE unused cartomizer, two two being used, and 5 sitting full..... so I ordered 30 more cartos.

Am I doing something wrong here? or is this how the adventure begins for everyone?
Do I just boil the full ones I dont want to smoke in an attempt to clean them?

What will happen to a cartomizer that was filled and then just lays around?

I dont like the idea of throwing all this metal away, I know they are disposable, but it is so wasteful

Plus, several of my efluid flavors are 24mg nic, which I think is too high even though I smoked regular analogs... so I dont know if they are wasted, or if I can dilute them and still get flavor.

I really like my provari, and I have only smoked 3 analogs since I got it, but I just feel there is so much waste.
The cost I can handle, you cant put a price on your original lungs... but I am not liking this wasted money/materials.

Maybe this is just how it is until you find your favorite flavors. I mean I hated anything besides marb red and old golds... but now, happily, I hate them too :p

I don't go exclusive on flavors. At first I do, but when I run out or don't care for a flavor, I add something that will work- like Peach with Apple Cider (quite nice!) or Coffee and Danish. It actually leads you to find some fantastic flavor combo's! I will take things that are too weak and add something strong and visa versa, if you get the idea.

I haven't been a cartomizer user for very long so hopefully someone with more experience will come along to help. That being said, here goes!
You can add a new flavor to a cartridge or carto with "mixed" results. (little pun there, lol) I would vape it down as much as possible then add in a similar flavor: fruits with other fruits, cinnamon with other cinnamon mixes, vanilla with dessert flavors etc... The flavors won't be pure but might be enough to see if you like them. I have not tried cleaning the carto's I have but I know others do it so don't throw them out, you can learn about ways to clean them and then use them again but remember they are meant to be disposable.
If you get some pg or vg you can add it to your already filled carto to dilute the nic level but it would be imprecise since you can't measure what is already in the carto. It may take a while to find your favorite juice, don't worry about it, you're right- your lungs are worth it!

you sound like me with the flavors, have a bunch of bottles and more coming, trying to narrow down my tastes, been surprised by what i'm finding so far. but it is somewhat fun to mix some of teh ones i don't like with some of the ones i do, often times i find the results decent enough to not give up on the bottles that i don't like.

as for cleaning, i wouldn't throw cartos away, just boil the stuff out of them.

You should buy a couple of atomizers to test flavors. You can just put a few drops of juice in the atty to see if you like it instead of wasting a whole carto.

I agree. This is what most do. I clean out the atty with PGA, so there is no after taste, before testing a new eliquid, let it sit overnight and then it is ready for more testing of liquid

+1 for atomizers to test flavors. A juice needs to earn a spot in one of your cartos. Dripping in an atomizer will give you a clean, pure taste of the juice without filler muting the flavor in a carto. I drip almost exclusively. An atomizer can last 3, even 6 months or more. After, about 4 days with a carto they start tasting funky to me and it's like I can feel the little stuffing fibers in my mouth. Some people get a few days more from a carto. An atomizer will help cut down the waste of putting skunk juice in a carto you don't want to vape. Happy vaping :)

Today I just got some 306 atomizers for testing flavors -- they are terrific! The center sticks up a little and you just screw it on and drip and you get a really great taste. They are cheap and you can taste as many flavors as you want without filling up a carto. And yes you can wash the cartos out. I soaked mine in 100 proof vodka for a couple of hours, swish em around and let em soak. Then i rinsed them with hot distilled water, blow em out from the battery side, and let them dry out completely.

buy some attys and drip that way you dont put a really powerful flavor in your carto save those for the ones you know you like.

I use cartomizers for favorite everyday flavors - the ones I vape a lot and a few extra flavors of different types. Everything else I drip at home on an atomizer. I do all juice testing by dripping, vape a couple of thicker faves by dripping, and a few oddball flavors I only vape occasionally are dripped. The flavors I want to vape every day for extended periods are in cartomizers.

Another +1 for testing flavors with an atty!
That said ... YOUTUBE is your friend! LOL There are several vids on how to 'clean out' cartomizers! If they are metal you can put them in water that had been boiled. Personally I like to use a turkey baster and flush them to get all the gunk out. Then let them dry before refilling and using.
I prefer carts myself as I really don't like the hastle of dripping. Taste and ease of use + the ability to clean them is perfect for me. Taste is not as good as direct dripping BUT I can't drip and drive and I don't enjoy the constant handling of all the products with dripping. Atty's are the way to go for taste testing though. I DIY my own liquids now and atty's are a MUST.
