Obviously some people just have higher standards than others. Smoker or not, I prefer a clean environment and clean belongings, but thats just me.

Like Crxess said, some liquids don't smell too good. Most vapers are into flavor, hence the sense of smell is tricked by what they "taste" when they vape. So even if it tastes good and smells good to the vaper, may smell like tomcat piss like what another poster mentioned.
I've a couple of tomcat piss myself and I refrain from vaping it around anybody. As to what cigarette smoke smells like, come on, let's just give smokers a break. We were like them too.

Chocolate cherry marshmallow. Keep a stash for when you know you'll be vaping around them. My wife still smokes cig's but I got her this to try to encourage her to vape more. Every time she tokes it I can smell it from a mile away. Smells yummy! I'm sure there are plenty that smell good so if you want to shut them up you might have to show them not all liquids smell the same.

Its just a premade aroma i had to try... I think it was lorann praline but im not 100% sure... But at 10% in 100vg 6mg it tastes godlike... A little strong to lung but great for mouth puffs

The only time my vaping stank was when I went through my cartomizer phase. I used to clean them in vodka, hot water, etc., but they developed a dirty sock smell that was so awful I stopped using them.
Wicks are much better that way, and they don't develop an offending smell.

To me anything with honey flavoring in it smells of mouse pee. Never smelled mouse pee? You're lucky. We're rural and I can tell when one of the critters has breached our barriers right away by the late night smell. Unfortunately one of my favorite juices was honeyed tobacco so I found an alternate after turning the house upside down trying to find the mouse.
But, having tried upwards of 50 juices, honey-containing ones are the only offensive ones I've come across.

I never smoked inside (well, not for decades anyway) and didn't smoke around people, but I am sure I reeked of it constantly. I would like to NOT be one of the obnoxious ex-smokers who coughs, complains, harangues, and waves my hand in front of my face constantly. No one has said anything to me about the smell of the vapor, but unless it's an obnoxious ex-smoker, I wouldn't argue with them. if it IS an OEX, I'm just gonna say, you should be happy for me, because you KNOW how hard it is to quit. And then I'll move away.
When I started recovering my sense of smell after quitting smoking, I kept getting a faint whiff of pee in my computer room. I tore that room apart looking for a place where the cat may have had an accident. I was literally crawling around the floor sniffing the carpet. Next, I gave the cat a bath, much to her dismay. Finally, I checked my own pants and chair...just in case. I could not find the source. Sat down for a vape break and I got hit in the face with the smell. Who knew that caramel smells like pee when you vape it?! I'm rather embarrassed because I vaped it for the two weeks immediately following my giving up analogs, and I still couldn't smell anything. Anyone who got near me probably thought I had peed my pants.

I went outside and came back in...ohmagosh !! It really did stink up the house !!!
I recently had to go to the "smoke shack" at work due to 30* weather and rain (first time in 5-6 months) and I litteraly thought I was going to be ill from the stench in there and worse than that I carried the smell back inside with me the people who site around me commented on me stinking.
I going to go out on a limb as say a mildly bitter smell beats the heck out of nasty smoker smell... For the record I hated the smell even when I did smoke, but I had gotten "immune" to it over time.

never smoked in the house and very limited in my car. Working on computers for a living you can see what the tar does.. when a laptop heatsink is clogged up with black gunk that will not clean off it makes me truly wonder what their house looks like.
Before I bought my house I lived in an apt for about two years. By myself, no roommates, figured I'll do what I want. When I moved out and took the pictures off the walls, you could EASILY see where they had been. Lost that deposit... But I guess I don't blame them.

I should use my buddies quote, "I smell blueberries" from the first interaction with a vaper which ended up converting me.
I can see how some juices might not smell that great, but my sense of smell has not fully recovered from 30 years of cigarettes that any vapor has offended me.
For now, I just use smoking areas but I will vape in my home where I never smoked.
Well i understand that some liquids can smell bad... BUT i havnt vaped a single one without comments so far... From the family that is... When at school 20 people suddenly said "i smell some sort of liquerice??" And at a market people started saying "where do they sell those cookies i can smell?" A lady pinpointed my location because of the lovely smell... That my fiance thought smelled like "some sort of piss with sweetener in it" the lady bought a bottle and went out to buy a starter kit because of that smell... It infuriates me beyond normal limits when a bunch of strangers start drooling because of the delicious aroma and my family says that it smells like a heavy diaper

The cigs are the ones that stimk... Make your fimgers and teeth uellow. Stains uour wslls etc... They have ashtray mouth. Not us vapers. Most juices make the air smell good... At least in my ecxperience. Ive never hadany one ask me to stop or that it smells bad... But I guess i have never had anything that smells like urime... Never knew some smelt that way..
One of the liquids my wife vapes has some artificial strawberry flavor in it, and it gives me a headache.......

Well i change liquid constantly trying not to be annoying... Just ordered an RY4 liquid hoping that a tobacco type might shut them up... But i doubt it... But hey at least i get to try it
