He was accepting money and selling...

Which makes him a supplier, and his thread an advertisement. I cant move it to the suppliers forum(as he isnt registered yet) and I can leave it there open in the modders forum. Closing was the only option.

Last i checked it was a co-op, just like any of the other co-ops that have been posted and are still posted int he mod section. Any reason in particular that you singled this one out as an issue? I would say leave it be or close all of the co-op threads.

It was a co-op that never got moved to the right area, the co-op has been filled now and nothing is being sold so what is the harm of letting the thread continue so that updates and general conversation can continue? JMO

I think there may have been some confusion about simply asking for permission to have a co-op. Sturm was completely railroaded into doing it for us and it snowballed to where it is now. He may not have even known he had to ask - I didn't.
But I really don't feel that deleting the thread and blocking his account are the correct answer. I don't claim to know the rules about this but to do this now after most have already paid and the co-op is almost done with no warning or notice....
I wonder if the mod actually read the thread or just decided that it need to be deleted on principle. It sure never looked like an advertisement to me. Either way this leaves a bad taste in my mouth ...

For those ppl who are worried about it I have heard back that all work and schedules will continue as originally planed. more than that idk

the issue is that if someone makes a cool mod, then someone else wants one. Hence the constant issue of mods gone product. and then who is to say it was ever truly a mod? might have just been a sales tactic. :p

i think i will not post any of my mods on here for that reason. If i decide to sell them(as history has seen can happen) then suddenly i broke the rules when all i did initially was share some info.

Empirically the Scubagen coop thread was moved with an announcement and not just deleted/blocked. Both threads started as developments of concepts and grew into coops. POC's was never moved, and the genisis LV thread is right on the front page currently. It would seem informing and instructing when changes need to be made are in order, as things often develop not according to guidelines. That and fair and equal treatment of course.
