Okay, I know this post was resurrected from some months ago, But that is what happens when someone finds something of interest and in turn allows others to see a new light on old information...
It peaked my interest and I actually spent hours reading every post, informational or not...
I do not yet own a mod and my only familiarity w/ any modders is strictly through ECF or VF... I am not a customer to anyone yet- So, I think I can be neutral just as much as I am ignorant to the mod world (& yes, I say ignorant because I have no knowledge of any mods other than what I read on the boards)
I had to comment because the thread was appreciated by me-
It would be too messy to try and "quote" every post that I came across that I feel I have an opinion on... and just that an opinion- so, First...

To Warp, I think he started out posting some information that could be useful to Mod noobs like myself- However, I do think more info could be given in that table that would make it more understandable to us noobs... This thread was quite informative even w/ the squabbling that carried on for awhile-
To all of the mod veterans that posted... Appreciative that you took part at all because even in the banter, all of you gave some useful information... Even if it did start to become confusing w/ the difference of opinion in information, and as a noob, not being able to distinguish fact from fiction as I have no knowledge whatsoever in electronics, ohms, amps, Mah, Ma, or the like... (Not eluding that fact or fiction being good or bad... Everyone who contributed had very insightful information)-
I do have to say as well, and again, I don't KNOW any modders personally or as a customer... yet- I do believe all deserve a great amount of respect for what they do... manufacturing anything and offering it to the public is risky, putting yourself out there for a very critical group of people takes a lot- Especially not knowing, once you put your money, sweat, and time into something, how people will perceive it- Kudos to all of you- whether commercially produced or not-
Now, in getting to the info in the OP and what succumbed from the month of posts...
For a noob looking for a mod (I have it down to 3...)- Question on battery (since that is what this post started out as...) With some I noticed an option of battery is available versus being dedicated to one type battery... (Which confuses me- My son's game takes AA batteries and there is not an option to use i.e. BB in it's place) How do I know which battery is best for the particular mod (other than what is suggested... or is what the modder suggests the best one available?)
Between C rate and mah... ma- I thought I understood it by comparing to what I know about camera batteries... I am unsure now...
Again, the thread has some good information- there are many of us here looking for information to help us in a purchase w/o having to ask in a post and get a lot of unnecessary opinions that don't help...
I hope to see more threads w/ informational posts whether it be from an OP or the content within...

A noob....I guess by the attitudes here that is in reference to the noob you polish everynight....Or lets see as a ECF Veteran you could be polite and teach instead of put down or name call. But I can see all the serious moders are the ones modding and not running their mouths like you guys.

I am out of this thread as the friendliness of the users is so poor. I hope this is not a sign of the .......s I will run across in the entire forum.

Good luck and best wishes.

Oh by the way correct the inaccurate statements and then I or someone else will educate you.

Your initial post was obnoxious, inaccurate and just plain rude. Good luck finding a place that will respond politely to that level of abrasiveness.

I have to say I guess I am a noob as they call it which I don't like the term as you can see from my prior post. With all that aside, I too have not purchased anything from anyone so can't compare them based on use. I will say that several very smart people have made some mods that use both two CR2 or one AA battery. Some have reduced the voltage with resistors while others choose not too. I personally built a knock off of the magnum using a dollar tree $1.00 flashlight. I am using three AAA 1.2 volt rechargables that when freshly charged put out around 4.23 volts total and run for about 6 to 8 hours on a charge. This configuration vapes well for me but again I have yet to try the higher voltage mods yet. I say yet as I will try them just so I know for my own how it will work for me.

I respect all those that invented their units like the SD, GG, Bullies and even the Prodigy I just don't like the prices they are selling them for. This is not jealousy or even contempt, it is more that I think they could sell them for less...With that said I don't know what their manufacturing cost are and what general business expenses they are incurring to set their price.. I for one will not be buying one for the simple reason I can make four, five or maybe six or more mods of my own with that money. It's a personal choice and not a cheap shot at the makers of each of these.

Now for the modders who choose to not sell or charge for their designs I give you the most respect as this is such a huge help to those starting out. Mad dog's magnum got me started and I love the cheap one I built. I am thinking of building a nickstick amoung other designs I have seen. It is as much about vaping as it is about the challenge and reward of creating comthing with your own hands.

I wish I could give you a full review on the mods for sale but I would be doing a disservice if I did as I haven't used any of them. I am sure there are others that are not tied to (employeed or biased) any of these mods that can give you great information on them all.

I wish you the best of luck with your search.

Happy Vaping

I have had that biography audited and it is 100% accurate. It has been published in peer reviewed scientific journals and I assure you the results are verifiable and repeatable.

Chick really really do dig me!

PS. Captain Satire wants to have a word with you.

I must say that you are one of my all time favorites! I am a chick and I really do dig you! :D

You have been one of the most helpful and level-headed members I have had the opportunity to meet, while accurately representing your biography. Not to mention, you crack me up daily with your dry wit!!

I must be one of the few who truly appreciates you!

I'd say few would be an over estimate...I think it would read better as
"I must be one of the TWO who truly appreiciates you!"
