I don't know.. being that you are comparing 3 relatively simple pieces to 7 more intricate ones, pricing does seem to add up in my head. We all made our decisions either way.
Now if we were comparing identical parts, that would be a different story.
I do not know why the sturm's thread was closed . And I will not judge.
But the genisis LV co-op is definitely a non-profit project, which is managed by Tai Pan. I am not actively involved in this project, but I've checked it (Quality and price). Tai Pan does not make money with what $ 30 is also not possible . The tab "new customer" is a bit awkward, it should better be called "new member". He use this "shopware" also for german forum. May be the translation was bad.
Please do not mix now the actions of sturm and Tai Pan in this discussion. Tai Pan has to my knowledge this co-op previously checked with the admins and the ok received.
Hopefully my english was good enough to understand my point of view.

we aren't mixing the actions, we are just discussing inconsistencies with the moderation of the forums. That thread is one of the high profile ones that jumps out, that is all. Odd thing is that Dan's co-op was moved to a different section, yet the LV one remains.

SSSHHHH They are listening. I have gotten infractions for criticizing moderators for not being fair. The all powerful OZ.
that maybe the case. I think healthy and constructive criticism that is listened too is much better than none at all.
Look at it this way. If you have a customer that tells you that your prices are too high, big deal. If a large group of your customers tell you your prices are too high then you should probably listen.

So hey wait this isnt high school. We are all civilized adults here (mostly) and shouldn't have to be worried that speaking our mind might get us in trouble or that criticizing the wrong person could get us an 'infraction'... that sounds like an abuse of power to me. I could understand if your causing trouble or post something inappropriate.................

The Genis project is a project of the forum www.e-rauchen-forum.de.
Some of your members asked me to do that here as well.
I contacted your board admin and ask for permission to do it here and to use your logo on the front page of our project shop.
And I got this permission. Than I contacted Raidy as holder of the right and he gave this permission as well.
In the meantime other boards step in as well.
Our project is not commercial in any way and we only charge material and shipping costs. But we invest a lot of work.
Don't ask why.

I don't think anyone was criticizing the LX5\Kronos project or its non-profit theme. As far as I'm concerned that is between a citizen and the tax man though, not up to board admins and modders.
What is being criticized is the inconsistent application of the board rules. Co-op sign-ups are supposed to be done in the buying and selling section\classifieds or the PIF coop forum with a coop designation and moderator approval. Not everyone knows this and sometimes they get started a little differently. Usually an admin finds the thread and straightens the matter out, and simply moves the thread and allows the coop admin to comply with the rules retroactively. That is what usually happens.
The G-Tank and Genesis LV co-ops appear to have both been treated differently than the 'usual'. Those are the facts as I understand them. But I haven't read the rules THIS week, they could have changed them.
