They didn't "raid" anything, there was no commotion, it was three men coming into a store wearing suits, one dude asking questions, there was a transfer of product, there was a badge shown and one of the other dudes talked on a walkie talkie type cell phone. Now if people have the balls to impersonate a team of federal law enforcement officers just to procure some free ecig merch........ They deserve the merch.

Google "Motorola XTS4000". Does that look like the radio they were talking on? If so, then I'd have to say they were legit FBI agents. This XTS4000 radio from Motorola was specifically built for the FBI for doing surveillance work. These surveillance radios cost around $4000.00 each!

This is all old news. The owners aren't anti government, and they're not out to stick it to the man. They cooperated fully with the Bomb Squad. Hence, no need for a warrant. It's a professional establishment, not Ted Nugents compound. And if it helps keep citizens safe from the highly unlikely yet possible chance of some crazy vaper turning their device into a potential explosive on purpose, I'm ok with that.

Sounds to me like there isn't much you would not be "ok" with. How about if they ban vaping to "Keep the citizens safe" ? Would you be 'OK" with that too?

Since nobody here knows what transpired in a conversation between the owners and government agency, everything is speculation. I personally believe that the owner stated that if they wanted it, they could take it because he or they were decent folks that are willing to take a loss to benefit the vaping community, to show that what we use and what we do is safe. At least, that's my impression.

This is still a new hobby with new technology. This will happen from time to time to different shops. If it was such a problem, I'm sure the owner would have filed the proper paperwork to be reimbursed. However, doing so has the ability to backfire in the future.

In the end, I'm glad they have the products and glad the owners cooperated like they did...Kudos to the entire staff. Your store is now considered a go to place to have questions answered by the local authorities if ever needed. That by itself is a major boost for our community in the Dayton area.

I've owned 3 businesses in the past 28 years, and am currently a gunsmith. I've dealt with the alphabet agencies on the federal level, as well as the local level. It's been my experience that the locals are much more willing to help you when you help them.
