So The Infamous SB Button...... Is it painted?

I love the SB. I love it. I've always wanted one & i'll probably end up with one.

I do have a question though. Is the Silver Bullet's button painted?
Is it a Stainless Steel button or is it painted Chrome?
And what is the black button? The black button must be painted, right?
But what is the black button made of? Is it Stainless Steel?
If the black button is SS I could see myself taking the paint off and shining it up.

I like the colors but Altsmoke only has the ones I'm interested in, in the black button.
Think I could take the paint off? And if so... Whats under it?

I can't say anything about the black button, but the silver colored one on my 2 year old SB is chrome plated. I've used it so much that I've worn through the chrome all the way around the button and the brass is showing. Something to consider. I've never had a problem with my SB and it still works just like when it was new.

I want a green, blue, white, or orange SB with a shiny SS/metal/chrome button dammit!
I'm guessing the black button is painting and I'd be able to take a turp'd cu-tip to it?

I have the white with black button (storm trooper version). With a visual and tactile inspection, I can't tell if it is hard plastic or metal. I suggest asking the question in the Altsmoke supplier's subforum AltSmoke. Chad (cddz here on the forum) is the manufacturer of the Altsmoke mods and frequently shows up there to answer specific questions about his mods. Possibly PM him, too.

The black button might possibly be delrin, all of the other vandal switches I've found in black say delrin. Like this one.

If you got a bullet with a black button I'd be 100% willing to trade you my silver button for your black one. It's in nice shape still, I just want a black one for when I reassemble after powder coating.

Also, I think altsmoke only charges something like $10 to replace a button.

If it was hard plastic I might have a better chance of painting it chrome than if it were metal

Some of my fave colors are the black chrome, pure white, and electric blue. Typically the vendors don't like it when we post get-arounds like that. Altsmoke would rather people like them on facebook to get them the advertizing from your friends seeing that you liked them. But, oh well. hehehe.

Anyways, I ended up ordering a GREEN Silver Bullet with the Kick module I am so excited to get it guys. None of you have an idea of how badly I wanted to get this beautiful mod in my hands. Yum. My bedroom walls are the same color as it. I have always wanted a Silver Bullet. Since my early days of vaping, I saw the Silver Bullet and went wild for it. I didnt have the means to make the money to buy one back then though. I ended up buying a Bolt, which, I liked a lot, but never used as much as my variable voltage mods. Now I'll have a variable voltage Silver Bullet and I couldn't be happier. They look like candy with the bright colors. I cant wait to vape from it. I'll take it out with me and it won't look like this proper black thing.. It'll be more my style. Vibrant and strange! lol.

I might get the button replaced with a chrome switch. If that would be possible. Idk if it would. I'd have to politely ask chad. But for now I'm guessing I'm gonna enjoy this FULLY. I can't waitttttt to receive this thing. This will be my 1st experience with the kick as well

That code worked on my Silver Bullet! Maybe they changed it? I got my SB for less with the fb code.
I also got a tank for less with the code, so it worked on both items of my order.
Edit: The special code you recieve when you like the Altsmoke Facebook page is different from the code listed above!
I just realized this. So the code that you receive from a Altsmoke FB like DOES work with the SB mod.
