If she's swiping mail in an apartment complex, maybe you should have your co-worker (or you) ask the apartment management about it - you may be onto something much larger than your battery, given the rise in identity theft and such lately.

Does the complex have mailboxes in a central location or is it delivered to the door? Maybe a sting operation is forthcoming ? ;)

it might be put in her box and she is just one of those jerks that keeps the mail that is suppose to go to others.. I live in a 3 unit building and get any mail that shows up without a apartment number on the letter or with a number over 3.. there it is easy to know who they are for since only 2 other ppl living there so i put it where it goes..

I don't know what the federal laws are exactly regarding the USPS, but I do recall seeing on a news show several years ago that a "law" had been passed that makes it legal to keep anything that is delivered to your house, by the USPS, regardless of who it is addressed to or if it's even the correct address. I believe it was one of the morning news programs. And they were talking about it because so many people were complaining around Xmas time, and missing packages with expensive gifts, etc., that went to the wrong addresses. And unfortunately, according to this new "law" at that time, anyone who received it from a postal worker could keep it. I know that doesn't really cheer you up. I would personally write it off. I don't think I'd want it back if shes already opened it anyway. And she wouldn't want to keep it if she didn't already know what's in it. Hard lesson learned though. I would think the coworker would offer to pay you for it, if she/he was being very friendly:).

.

According to the original post, she didn't "swipe" mail, it was delivered to her address.

OMG, I feel SO sorry for you!! Considering she's a she and I'm a she, want me to come down there and put the muscle on her for you? (Please be warned in advance that I'm 5'3" and tip the scales at an impressive 100 pounds BUT, I grew up in SCOTLAND. I can take her...)

Yes please do that and have it taped and place on this site so we can all cheer you on while routing her:D Hey if you tape it and charge a buck per view we can more than get the ops money back:lol::lol: and we can sell:pop: Seriously the lesson to be learned is to not order if you not going to be around to recieve it and dont have your stuff sent to anyone elses house.

Go knock on her door and have it out with her, what is there to lose at this point?

If I were next door I think some loud music daily would adjust her attitude, may I suggest Metallica. :grr:

That might work, I did that to a buddist next door that would start chanting at 6am. I placed my speakers on the wall and cranked up Hot rails to Hell by BOC no more chanting after that.

Hey just keep playing Panama over and over and over again like mimi did on that Drew Carey show.
