So iv been playing with the idea of getting one, i know battery safety and hybrid safety.
Iv been sitting for weeks on the idea of getting one, i guess whats holding me back is it actually good and safe (if the correct safety is used)
I know maybe some of you will think just dont buy one and whack up the power on a regulated device but theres something that i like about no settings just put a build on it (a safe one one) and vape.
So if anyone on here has one can you tell me if you enjoy using it and what rda you are using as i am also in the market for getting a good one for that (mainly with a velocity deck)

Thank you very much
Jordan

I would highly recommend that you don't get one if this is your first mechanical device, and think twice before getting one if it isn't.
The combination of very high power output (build dependent) and a 'hybrid style' direct to battery 510 connector mean that it is completely unforgiving of user error. Even more so than a regular single battery tube mechanical device. It's designed for those who want a very high power output mechanical device in a very small package.

eg. A 0.5 ohm coil will be outputting 140 watts at full charge.

You could put a much higher resistance build in it. But because it's in series, you are only getting the mAh of the single battery and all those extra volts are going to waste.

If you want to blow massive hot clouds with something that fits inside the palm of your hand, then it's the device for you. But make sure you are fully versed in all the relevant safety aspects of using such a device.
I own one and find a bit impractical and use it rarely.

The Velocity is an excellent RDA that has, you guessed it a velocity style deck :)

I use one daily with the indestructible rda. I prefer single coil and I stick around 1.2 for most of my builds. I will go down to .8 with parallels but anything lower is like the gates of hell coming out of the mouthpiece (read: HOT), at least for my liking. The absolute lowest I've gone is .6 and it was a lung hit full of nope.
It's no joke running dual 18650 in series, but as long as you know your atty, device and the battery limitations it's like any other mech.

if you know what you're doing as far as mechanical mods and coil building, just get one! love mine! paired with the indestructible is a match made in heaven.

I love mine, but would not want to pocket it, I build .5-.7 on it with Rda's like the Indestructable or Velocity, as long as you know what your doing with the builds, I would say it is great mod, Like everybody else say's I would not recommend it unless you know your builds and good understanding of battery specs.

I'm not going to tell you not to get one, but I remember back in the day we had these stacked battery mods. There were a BUNCH of problems with batteries exploding, it got to the point ECF proper had multiple warnings about their use and discouraged their use for safety reasons.
I play with a lot of flashlights, but I don't have many that use multiple batteries because I've seen what happens to them when the blow up.
I've played with mechs almost as long as I've been vaping, it was a mech or a cigalike back then, not many options! But I've never owned a stacked mod. I even refused to buy a a Buzz pro because it used stacked batteries.
I've looked at the noisy cricket and toyed with it, a friend even has one. But I just can't pull the trigger on one for myself. I'm just not diligent enough and I don't want to have two sets of batteries that I have to keep married their entire life span. I like being able to just grab a battery, slap it in a mod and vape! No fuss, no worries, on mess!
So if you do get one, PLEASE get four batteries and before you even charge them, either label them or write on them with a permanent marker to marry those batteries. It can be 1 and 1, 2 and 2, it can be 1 2 3 and 4, I don't care. But charge and discharge them as if they are one battery! Do not mix and match them in that mod, or any other. Those batteries remain as pairs and only for that mod for their life span.
I know I'm sounding paranoid, but the amount of power in them is incredible! I saw a Surfire flashlight, with brand new Surefire batteries, blow through a sheet rocked and sided wall, travel another 75ft before it was finally stopped by a brick security wall!
Do what you want, and I respect that you have battery safety in mind, that makes me feel better, but be careful going forward with it, please.

<snip> and ild also be buying the best/safest 18650's on the market :)
There are only a few battery manufacturers in the world who make their own "cells", including LG, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic & Sanyo.

All the other brands on the market buy the second and third tier cells from those manufacturers and re-wrap them under their own brand. These are "second and/or third tier cells" which did not meet the higher standards of the original manufacturer. In order to compete with the original manufacturers' batteries (first tier), these other companies feel obligated to publish specifications which are inflated to make them appear superior to those of the original manufacturer.

Do your research before you buy. Decide what battery to buy depending upon the application that you will use them.

The battery guru, @Mooch tested the VCT5's and found they are only rated at 20 amps. Just keep that in mind with your builds, I use them as well. I think my next one's will be the LG's as well.
