Just a while ago I was attempting to try out a new wismec sinuous p80. When I inserted the battery and close the door it was stuck on 80 Watts. So me like a dummy not being able to lower the watts took a puff of vape off of it. And it wouldn't shut off so I quickly remove the battery but the battery was extremely hot. Is this battery any good or should I dispose of it.
it was very hot. Forget about the mod we know that's no good. Thanks in advance for your replies

Um yeah get rid of the battery for sure.

Also.... Stuck on 80 watts? Care to elaborate on that more? Because if I had a vape that was doing that, I wouldn't attempt to fix it by vaping it, as if "If I get some clouds out of it, the mod will start doing what it should," that's not sound logic. Why/how was it stuck on 80 watts, it just kinda happened?

Because if that Just Kinda Happened to a mod I had I a) would not vape it and b) send it back tot the manufacturer or at least carry it gingerly to a vape emporium to get aid in Diagnosis and Treatment of the Sticky mod.

So...

Heat is the enemy to batteries. An extremely hot battery likely has sustained internal damage that may not be externally visible to the naked eye. My suggestion would be to discard of it properly: cover both ends of the battery with electrical tape and take it to a battery recycle center like most hardware stores have.

Just curious: What battery specifically were you using? Make and model?

I also suggest that you read the following about venting and thermal runaway:

When do you put the battery in the mud it lights up as 80 Watts. When you push the buttons to reduce the Watts it don't work. The mod was literally stuck on 80 Watts I could not get the wats to come down. You might say I burned it up. But I have a good excuse. It was in the morning and I didn't have my coffee yet so I take the blame on this one I guess. a brand new battery less than a week old dang
