I keep buying new tanks and batteries and I'm trying to get into the swing of this vaping thing and as soon as I get to liking one of them something goes wrong. I just got a vision spinner variable voltage battery and it's pissing me off already. It takes forever to charge and then only stays charged for four hours tops and I feel like I still haven't even gotten a good draw off it. What is the problem? Are my tanks the problem, b/c they aren't made for variable voltage or what?

what is the rated mah for your battery? what kind of tank are you using? when was the last time you changed your atomizer coil or cleaned it?

I was gonna ask that too. But I can't help thinking there may be something defective in the battery if it's only lasting 4 hours. You should get like double that if it's the 1300mah. If that's the one you have

I have the Innokin MVP v2 and a Protank. Besides changing coils every couple of weeks, I've never had an issue. I have to imagine that with the 1300 mAh battery you have, it should last longer than 4 hours. Do you chain vape? Or run the battery at it's highest setting most of the time? Both will affect battery life for sure.

These are all excellent questions. Spinners come in 650, 900, and 1300 mAh; each will last for a different amount of time between charges.

Clearomizers and cartotanks will need either their coil heads or cartomizers replaced every 2 - 3 weeks (more often if you are a heavy vaper).

Ego battery chargers work best if connected to a usb/wall adaptor unit like cell phones use. Using a computer's usb or car's usb port can be extremely unpredictable and might even be dangerous. Computer and car usb outputs can vary greatly. Remove the eGo from the charger soon after it has been fully charged. Do not charge overnight while sleeping. Although the charger stops giving a full charge, it will still provide a "trickle charge" which can decrease the overall life expectancy of the battery.

I have been using my computer with a USB cable charger. I have tried different tanks like the smok rbc and a few other ones I don't know the names of. All of them were purchased for batteries that were not variable voltage though.

I'm guessing you're charging your battery, and after about 5 or 6 hours, you unplug it and start using it. So, based on that, which is just an assumption, you've only charged it to about a quarter of it's capacity. You need a wall plug. You can get them from most online vendors at little cost, purpose built for the usb charger you already have. As i said in an earlier post it should take approximately 3 and a half hours to fully charge. The red light will come on and the white light on the battery will flash about 20 times then stay on. Then the red light will stay lit but a green pulse will occur every 2 or 3 seconds. After about 2 hours the white light will flash again a few times then go out. When the battery is fully charged the pulsing red/green light will stay green.

Hi Laura,
You came to the right place with your questions. I totally agree a wall charger is best. Now on to your tank issue.
When you change out the coil head on the tank be sure the wick on the bottom covers the entire hole it passes thru. Press on it a bit and it should fix any leaking issue. Next, I really suggest you watch a youtube video for each tank you have. No need to rebuild the coils but learn how to change out the flavor wicks and dry burn a coil to get the gunk off. It's simple and then once you pick up the habit of rinsing and letting a coil head soak over night then dry off for a day you'll be more confident and proficient in your vaping experience. Don't throw anything away for a while. The heads will come in handy as you learn to change them out.
Blessings and Joy on your Journey,
Bliss

To use up a 1300mah battery in 4 hours would require almost literally incessant chain vaping. I've done that to an 1100mah in that time frame, but I also pretty much chain vaped about 3ml of juice, too. I'm thinking you either have a damaged battery, or aren't getting a full charge. Wall warts or usb plugs for the cigarette lighter sockets in your vehicle to recharge may yield better results.

Yes I did charge the first time until the green light came on, but last night it charged for like 6 hours and still hadn't came on and I could wait any longer. Only had it for two days. The time that I charged it till the green like came on, it died after 4 hours. And this time that I didn't charge it fully it was on the charger for 6 hours and died after 3.

I just don't know what to do, I keep buying stuff and my husband is getting ......, I'm more stressed out than ever b/c I just want a decent vape and haven't had one in like forever. Every time I go to the store the stuff works perfectly and then I get home and nothing works right.
There is a learning curve here. Vaping is not as easy as smoking, but the rewards can't be measured with money. You can't put a price on good health.

My suspicion is that your usb computer port is not adequate for your charger. Get a usb/wall adaptor to use for the charger. It should only take 3.5 hours to fully charge a fully depleted 1300 mAh ego battery.

Once you have functional batteries and tanks, your only expenses a month will be for replacement heads and extra juice. You can save money by vaping and not smoking. Be patient yet determined. This will work for you. :)

I use a bottom coil clearo every day. When i fill it i never over fill. I leave at least 2 or 3 millimetres empty otherwise the liquid doesn't flow to the coil properly, something to do with the pressure in the tank. Also when the tank is down to about 3 or 4 millimetres of liquid it should normally start gurgling, again because of the lack of pressure in the tank. when this happens i'd hold some tissue paper over the tip and shake it, whilst holding it upsidedown, for about 30 seconds then use a q tip to clean out the tube. I vape with it for 5 minutes and then go through that shaking process again. After that i'll finish the tank with no more gurgling. I go through this process with "every" tank full of liquid. That's the routine and i'm used to it. That's how my bottom coil clearomiser works. If your gurgling and leaking all the time then i'd say you need to place a little cotton wool on top of the wick to stem the flow of liquid a little and it should stop the constant gurgling.
