So, um... Am I gonna blow myself up?

So I was reading baditude's blog again, and realized I'd never looked at the bit about regular old dripping atomizers. I have been just a little upset since I bought the carto tank. Don't get me wrong, I love it for holding enough juice for me to vape all day, but the flavor is muted [duh] and I get more flavor out of my V2 cigs 808 clearos... They just don't hold up to my vaping habits AT ALL.

So I've been wanting to find out what my e-liquids REALLY taste like, and from what I've read this can only be achieved by dripping. Well... I have a few old empty V2 cartridges lying around and thought, why not just remove the polyfill and put a couple of drops directly on the atomizer. I did so, capped the cart off with a rubber drip tip, and fired it up on one of the V2 808s. The juice tastes amazing! But, will I blow myself up? And how is this different than a regular dripper?

I really don't think you'll blow yourself up, but I'm not familair with those either, so I could be wrong. I've just recently delved into the dripless atomizers. I got myself a few Kidney Puncher long barreled 510 unbridged dripping atomizers and am really enjoying them. I need to mix up some lower nic juice tho as I'm about to blow the top of my head off with the nic buzz from 12 mg juice. Whew!!

I just started so keep that in mind. I got a Halo G6 kit with a mini tank and I have to say that I taste more with the mini-tank than with the cartomizers. I've bought a few more mini tanks until I can move up in gear, but I think dripping would release more of the aromatics giving you more taste than some of the other methods.

Yea, you are fine. That is what dripping was when I started. Remove poly fill from carto and drip 3 drops and get 4-5 good puffs. I know myself plus tons of others did it for a long time and never heard of a problem.

Then the LR atomizers and products like the HH .357 came out and were essentially just cartos that came already ready to drip.

Now dripping has transitioned again to rebuildable droppers like nimbus, trident, atomic, octopus etc.

I'm SO glad I have these and that I thought to do it! (well to give credit where it's due, baditude did inspire me:) I had a couple of flavors I couldn't even taste yet since I had no available tanks. Now I've tasted them, yay. And now I can see the future more clearly... I KNOW I will need a Reo type mod or my coveted Provari + RTA, once I learn to rebuild. Who knew that quitting smoking came with a hobby?

BTW Another Question: Turns out I like the warmer vape better. Is there any way to get this with dripping? And/or what will give the best flavor with a warm vape?

Of course there is assuming you have 510 threads. If you have VV battery then a hot flavorful vape without the burnt taste is easily possible with any low resistance atomizer. Crank the voltage up to desired heat and go. I would personally recommend an HH .357 atomizer.

Without a VV device you're looking at building lower ohm coils and firing them on fresher batteries. Even if you have a VV if you feel comfortable doing it yourself a rebuildable dripper is inexpensive and provides the best experience "if" built correctly.

Well..... I have yet to delve into the wonderland of rebuilding, but the anticipation is killing me! I have several t3s's on the way (gracias para el BARGAIN grande, ingerri!) which I think will be perfect for practicing rebuilding as #1: I know I prefer single coils (pretty sure...) and #2 from what I've read, the rebuild is EASY, same as protank, good for beginners. My brother is an audio engineer and is bringing me a multimeter (at some point,..) so I'm super excited about learning to tinker with all these things!

^ I do have a 510/ego battery, my iTaste vv3. Looking for one or two more used in the classies :) I love this forum!
