So...I had the most stressfull week...and BOTH my atomizers are pooped!

My husband...pulled out the fluffy fibers in one atomizer...now that one tastes like burnt ...burnt ICK...I dont know what....it took me awhile to figure it out ....USELESS

My other atomizer..I have NO IDEA what is going on....I get flavor and it puts out only small amounts of vapor and thats IT....I've cleaned it....and cleaned it...it isnt flooded....I guess it feels a little harder to take a drag off of but not very much...and...like I said...I cleaned it..BOTH atomizers are only 2weeks old...510...Does this sound dead?..or is there something else I can do to salvage at least till I can get an order in?

I meant to order back ups BUT before I could my grand daughter (4weeks old) transported from emergency here to ICU 100+ miles away...So we would you believe--while I was there waiting for her to have surgery I find BOTH atomizers are pooey!!!!!..I had to buy real CIGS...UGH..I hate it AND I have to order but of course that takes time ...UGH...ARGH....sob:(

I hope your grand daughter is okay. It's in the stressful times when reliability is most important.

Yeah, you shouldn't take out the fibers from under the bridge of the atty. They wick the juice from the mesh on the bridge and get it close to the coil. Unless you plan on dripping and have a sealed manual battery. Then you should be able to drip a few (2-3) drops of juice directly on to the bridge mesh and vape with some sort of mouthpeice over the end, like an empty cartridge.

And yeah, when the atty starts to under perform, even after you clean it and doesn't vaporize well. Then it's days are numbered.

I recommend getting some 510 cartomizers just for convenience sake (get the blanks from vaporkings.com and fill them yourself - it's really easy). Also: don't recommend cleaning atty's at all - if vapor production is down it could just as easily be something wrong with the cart filler IMO. Atty cleaning = atty killing much of the time. Good Luck!

OK attys - They aren't made to last - they really aren't - annoying as hell yes, true though. Always have backups - thats the mantra round here - and this is why. Murphy's law can operate with all gadgets, and its had a field day with you from the looks of it.
Some attys are just crap - and some last for ever (or so it seems) and theres no why or wherefore about it. I have the same deal going on with toasters. I either get a great one, or a bunch of totally crap ones that last no time at all. I used to get it with vacuum cleaners too.
I dont clean mine - not unless I think its one step away from being trash anyway - I honestly dont beleive they like being cleaned and it has never had good results for me. I just blow them out and drip - I dont use carts either as I find them annoying too lol.
Dont sweat having to buy cigs - you need something to help with stress right now and you have no backup attys so its not a big deal; its not like you intend to smoke one around your granddaughter.
Best of luck.

I hope everything turns out well.

As for the atties all I can tell you is what I do that works for me. Don't do this if you have an automatic battery. This is for manuels only, and only if you are willing to drip. I gently remove the bridge itself. That mesh is very hard to get taste out of. There is a video on here someplace. It's not hard at all but it does need to be done with care. With the bridge gone you will be dripping straight onto the heating coil itself so you actually get a bigger hit and it's a little warmer. I have done this with three atties that had become useless and I am now using all three again and IMO they work and taste better now than when they were new. It also seems to be much more consistant. Two drops and I get about 6 or 7 very big hits before it slows down.

Peace and love!!

Thank You for all the input...and the get wells about my Grand daughter...

You're never gonna believe this right after I posted....I found a different way to try cleaning the atty that was still kinda trying to live LOL....( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/tips-tricks/69834-my-atty-resurrection-method.html) and I think it it worked So far so good!!!It seems to be fine again...for now....at least I can chill a little while I wait for an order!!!....Hopefully ...Crossing fingers, toes, ankles, legs....

I started with the e cigs April 10th....I was completely done with analogs 2 days later....The last 3 days i have smoked over 3 packs of analogs...My throat hurts...my voice is hoarse...and my lungs feel burny...and ...I am stinky:(...I have NOT found a Marlboro Red as satisfying as I used to....LOL...I was actually annoyed that there was NO chocolate hazelnut...or Cappuccino to the darn things...LOL...Well Hopefully this atty will last a few days more so I can order ( Crap!!!Its a weekend isnt it!! grr!)

I hated walking into the pediatric ICU smelling like a CIG!!!!!

My grand daughter is going to be fine...she had her surgery today...I stayed till it was done and I saw her in recovery then we drove the 3 hours home.

Latest update is that they are trying to get her tkeep 1/4 oz of pedialite down 2 different times and then they can start giving her formula...so far she has thrown up both times they have tried...

First hope your grand daughter is doing ok...

now as for the atty...are you using alot of dark liquids or tobacco flavors or VG?...if so your atty coil is probably gunked up...do a dryburn cleaning of it...search for the user highping and follow his method for revitalizing an atty (which is a cleaning and dryburn thing) and you should be good to go...

only other thing would to be to check it with a multi meter to see what it's doing..should have 2.3Ω of resistance if it's a joye atty....if it's much much higher then it's probably on it's way out...
(for example I have a low resistance atty that should be 1.5Ω... it's currently somewhere around 19Ω.....so yeah it's dying)
