I only use 430 ss but for me cleanest taste I've had since I started vaping, easy to work with and just as good in wattage or temp control mode. Nickel gave an unpleasant taste never bothered with ti but ss has been a godsend.
My last dry hit was back when CE4s first came out. So I really don't see a need for TC for me.
TC is just a more complicated way to do what I've always done.
A good mechanical mod, good battery, and a proper rda, and I'm all set. It works for me, so I see not need to change.
So whats the concensus on Temp Control now that we have had it for quite a few months??Has it lived up to the hype? Some said it was a fad,is it here to stay?
I definately think some juices have their sweet spot temp and really come alive but I also think that the promises of less juice and battery consumption were greatly exaggerated, what are your thoughts?
I haven't bought any tc devices yet, and I won't buy the current generation of hardware that would require low ohm coils.
I might buy the ijoy, but I am surprised other devices have not come out that also offer burn protection on regular ohms.

It's still lower than you wish I sure, but JTech just bumped the ceiling to 1.2 on the VTC.
It may be the same on their other 3.0 updates (RX, Cuboid, Presa75) but I haven't checked.
I trying to recall what iJoy designed their "Taste Control" for.
Was it "around 0.5" or was it "above 0.5" ?
Does it work at higher ohms? Haven't used one myself.

With fads, only time will tell. If TC does turn out to be a fad, I think it will have at least introduced different resistance metals for us to play around with, which is an innovation in itself.
I'm a fan of TC'd SS now but still use kanthal occasionally.
The main reason I've put aside the nickel (never got around to Ti) and have moved to SS is I can Power or TC, depending on mood or mod... and I can STOP trying to remember what the hell wire is in each atty.
Initially tried ni200, wasn't all that impressed and to me it's not worth poking the Hornets Nest with Nickel. Now SS is supported and I have the Reuleaux dna200 and really love it. Consistent Vape and no more burnt hits. I've tried 317L, 316L and 316, best luck has been with 317L. I'm about to give 304 and 430 a try
1. I set the temp all the way up to 600.
2. I find the wattage I want to vape at.
3. I go over to a mirror and take a normal puff watching the screen to see the highest "temp" that registers.
4. I then set the limiter 10 degrees above the "temp" I saw in step 3.
That way it only hits the limiter when the wick starts to dry out.
TC is all I have been running since the DNA40 ... Prefer Ni200 over TI or SS, although, I haven't fully immersed myself in SS yet. Will give it a shot, and have no plans to go back to non TC
