The Kayfun "Black Edition" is imported by a guy on Ebay - it's gotten pretty good reviews, and I think it's $50...

Just looked - he's out right now. He keeps the ad up, but jacks the price to something ridiculous until he gets the next shipment... But that's the source, I think he has them made a little custom in 100 or 500...

Either another Vamo (a V5) or some other VV/VW mod for the same price range, or my local vape shop has a Kayfun "black" edition, which they showed me, and combines the best of the Kayfun and the Russian into one tank, but it's $70 and I haven't even used my RSST much cause I have failed terribly at wicking it with cotton :(

Nice, I don't think I'll ever convince myself to buy the real thing. Too much for a nice piece of metal and pins. I hear the clones are just as good, and can't tell the difference. If it's not shiny enough you can always take a high-powered car-buffer to it, I did that with a buddy's 91%.
I can totally vouch for this. Those Ithacas and Chi and Nemi are all actually HCigar clones. Believe it or not the Chi clone actually felt heftier than my original. The Ithaca parts were all interchangeable with the originals. You can feel the weight being a little less on the clones and I would wonder about the longevity of them over years, but over a year or two if treated right, I would see know issues IMHO.

Whoo congrats! I think I found a new goal darn you! Holy :censored: that's an expensive mod 388 smackers! That's a "look at me" me mod, niiice. From the description the craftsmanship looks worth it though, 27 parts, innovative button, I'm surprised they didn't throw in optional variable wattage for that price though lol, Thanks for putting that thought in my head ;)

lol....you're welcome....it's been on my list for a while now, and I finally got the opportunity to get one, I reduced shipping cost, because I can let my little sis carry those :D

I'm a mean big sis, but she loves me

Well, the Provari was gifted, so I was just very, very lucky there. As for the fastech number, I would get it but I suspect just from reading the specs that I would just pretty much look at it and go OHHHHHH that is so pretty, vs using it. So even at around $40, that seems like a waste. It sure is pretty though.

I got into the first round on Kidney Puncher's The Russian 91% v2 RBA after looking and waiting a long time. So very stoked on when it ships.

But really I'm looking to delve into a mech mod finally.

Something that's reliable, all Stainless Steel ( I hate brass or gold on any mod, IMO), cheap- under $50 and takes 18650 batteries as I have two of them laying around from the SVD I had and am using a MVP 2 now.

What, like this? LOL - it's a nice setup...
SVD-Russian_zpsbb17f305.jpg

That's one of the polished Russian's - a "real" Russian, none available right now...

Russian 91%. Perhaps a few more PT2's. Those have become my favorite since I started doing micro coils in them. More kanthal wire. More juices. Maybe an SVD way down the road, I have enough devices now, but I really like that one.

Oh yeah after I looked at it again I see what you mean, that's good it's not all superficial for you, I've seen many "pro's" that buy something just because it's purdy, and they think no-one else will have it. What an awesome gift too, you must have someone that really cares about ya :D.

So since my vaping induct (12/13) I've had them all (bout' $6K worth). Used to be all about the hunt to find those exclusives (Bugs, GG's, I'Hybys, BB, etc.). Now it's all about the juice (as told to me by Mann) way back in the day. My 2 goto's : Chels Microstick 350 with GP Spheroid (I have the 500 extension but don't use it), and Prov mini (polished oh my) with 2 Kir Prive carto tanks. Still got a bunch of Ithakas and a Chi and Nem that I don't use. For me the simplicity of popping and filling a cart every couple days, or rewiring the GP is the easiest I have come to over the last year.

I've noticed a trend with the veterans and the micro-stick, even the spheroid I've heard alot about too, who's the rockstar that found out that's the best solution? :p Both of them look extremely sexy and convenient, how does the spheroid perform? The chamber looks a tad bigger than I've had experience with for my favorites, I've found around a square inch is great for density/flavor. Then again I use unflavored RY4 sometimes :p, your right if you don't have the right juice, that's your noose. (sorry that was lame, not deleting it though lol)

-I don't like convenience in vaping, I like every excuse I get to tinker/rebuild, I'm building a homemade box pretty soon, probably something sexy like the microstick (out of carbon fiber )

Being new to Vaping myself (only a month in). I'm going to get a KayFun tomorrow (3/14) and if I could FIND one, a DNA 20 or 30. if not, Maybe a Provari. I'm on an MVP2 right now with a ProTank 2, and it does the job, but after seeing a Kayfun the other day IN person, That's my next big drop

Nice that's a badarse step up right there, if you want to get your .... kicked in like I did grab a (pretty good deal) trident clone, I think that's the best bang for your buck RDA I've witnessed with my own two eyes so far, and that going from an aspire nautilus BLEW MY MIND lol. That's my dream right now though is to soon buy the basically kayfun clone on steroids, the only reason I went for the russian BIG was because I hear it wicks better (which makes sense with an 11ml tank on top!). The kayfun is the perfect all around medium from what I hear, I bet you'll be happy and rebuilding in no time :)

I've had good experience with clones myself, especially with the heft factor. I've found the chinese manufacture's are more humble in the amount of metal they give you (whether it's a certain grade usually isn't that important anyway, as long as it looks the same/conducts similarly), I think caravela, hades, provari etc are all based on '"high class" hype, and that's why they can ramp up the price. I bet both companies pay about the same price for materials/labor, but the asian markets don't make ridiculous profit. I hope one day the economy will be leveled in vaping, and a mod will have to be made out of gold smelted with copper to be able to charge $300 per tube. Just my thoughts.
