So......What else do I need?

I recognize that this may be a little overkill, for first time DIY, but what else do I need? I know I'm fine on flavors, base, probably glassware, but for measuring things, and or mixing. Note I have the glass syringes in glassware section, below, but pretty sure I need other measuring things still. If you have a vendor for any suggestions, please let me know, as I've had a hard time finding generic names I find in threads.

Also, given flavors I have and they are a mixture of regular and super concentrated, is there a calculator to deal with this?

Last, given flavors I have, any good receipes I can start with? Plan to start simple mixes, small batch, until I get the hang of this. My tastes are all over the place, mostly non tobacco, but tend to jump through 5-6 vendor mixes a day, so can't stay long on any one thing.

Thanks !!

That's a lot of flavors!

Glass syringes are fine I suppose, but the liquid isn't in there long enough to leech anything out of them (and I'm a nut about using glass for everything else). I'd recommend getting 5 of each of those sizes you listed. 5 of them in plastic will cost what 1 glass one costs. And 5 tips of each size. Check around for prices on luer lock syringes and needles, I think you can find better deals especially in plastic.

When I sit down to mix, and it looks like you're going to be playing with a lot of different flavors, I hate stopping and washing everything.

You have everything you need. One question : Why the 100mg Nic in both PG & VG?

Get the E-juice me up calculator. Just do a search or go to the top of the DIY or Recipe pages.

There are plenty of recipes on the recipe sub-forum.

Think twice before you mix 100 mg. Nicotine, and then think again. Make sure you are absolutely sure you know what your doing.

Skoot - Thanks I just though the glass syringes would last for a long time, and might be more accurate, but I can get a batch of the plastic too. These guys are SLOW shipping too, so don't like that.

Iffy - I got those caps via a post from Kurt (the chemist on here), whom I trust entirely. Please advise the differences between these as I can order others as needed. My plan is to break down the nic to 30Ml bottles for long term storage, except what I'm using at the time.

Oh, and the 100Ml bottles was a mistake and my original long term storage plan. I was advised to break it down smaller, so changed to the 30ML. I will use the 100ML if I get a great flavor I like to mix a larger batch, or they will not get used. Not sure how this will work out.

Boomer - I vape at 50/50 and was going to experiment going higher on the PG and VG side of things, so to start thought I'd get both. That will likely change to all VG in the future, as I believe it will last longer, but who knows. In answer to your question, my plan is to break out the "in Use" nic that will be in 30 ML bottles, then evenly mix in 60 ML of the VG or PG as the case might be (above) to get me to 30MG/ML for the mix and calculators. I tend to vape at 18-24Mg, so I think this will work, but still evolving.

What about "pipettes" Do I need those if I have all the syringes?

We ALL trust Kurt! Did he know you were gonna freeze 'em?

The dropper rubber bulb can deteriorate or possibly crack after freezing. The plastic inner cone caps are the more secure/stable option.

Send Kurt a PM to verify my suggestions. If he says otherwise, PLEASE let me know!

Bommer - Pipette pumps???

Iffy - Kurt was advising someone else on a thread I followed, I followed suit. Kurt specifically told the OP to get these tops, as I recall, but I'll see if he can check in here and let me know. Thanks, as I was not aware of any issues with the caps. It's possible I misunderstood his posts there?? Not sure.

Unfortunately I can't remember the vendor who sells them. Maybe One Stop DIY. They are easy to use and super accurate. Might be some on eBay but they are a lot more expensive than the ones I saw on that e-cig vendors site.

Here you go : http://www.onestopdiyshop.com/products/Pipette-Pump.html

I concur on the poly caps as well.

Also on the warnings with 100 mg/ml nic base. It's what I use but I'm very careful and have some experience handling chemicals. Nitrile gloves would be an essential add-on, also a plastic apron and good ventilation when you're pouring out that 100 base. And some kind of tray to mix on, in case you knock over that bottle of rocket fuel. Read every single sticky in the DIY forum.

Thanks Skoot. The gloves I have lots of, and experience with a variety of hazardous chemicals and some quite nasty. Would a respirator also be a good idea with the nic, or just well ventilated space to do the quanity cut down to smaller bottles? I have read through the stickies a number of times and have a pretty good idea what I'm getting here, but I appreciate the advise.

I don't use a respirator, my work table is right next to a window so I put a fan in it blowing out. Also, I don't have the nic base bottle open for very long at all. If I were to sit down and mix up a lot at once, I would get a respirator.
