I smoked at least a pack of analogs a day for approx. 48 yrs. Smoked through the death of my father due to emphysema. Smoked through a smoking related subarachnoid hemorrhage, pneumonia and bronchitis . You would think that was enough for me to quit, right? Ha! I tried every patch, gum, pill, hypnotism and gimmick available over the years. No success. ( I even purchased a fake plastic cigarette that had a flavored insert to puff on ,lol)….nothing worked.

Was skeptical of the E-Cig. Why would it be any better than all the other methods, I asked myself. Do I really want to waste more money on a gimmick that does not work? Which one to buy? From which vendor? I read so many conflicting reviews/reports, made my head spin.

Was referred to V4L by a user who had success with them. Immediately ordered a kit. Started vaping the day it arrived. I have not had an analog since the vapor king touched my lips and have no desire for one.

Myself and my family are so happy with my success and I know my Dad is looking down at me saying “Good girl”. I give V4L a huge portion of the credit for my success, if not for their great product and amazing customer service, I would still be smoking and still searching for a way to stop a very nasty habit.

Okay, I might have posted my story back in July or August when I first tried vaping, but here goes.

I started smoking when I was about 20 as a means to "prove" to everyone at college that I wasn't the "goody two shoes" they all thought I was (great reason, right?). Fast forward 24 years and I was still smoking, even though I have cancer running strongly in my family and my dad died of esophageal cancer in 2008. I decided in July 2009 that I was fed up with smoking and that I was also fed up with trying all the other means of quitting, so I looked for an e-cig. The first one I got was unfortunately a Health E-cig, which was horrible and which promptly died within a week. No harm, only cost like $15 or something. So, instead of doing my research I ordered an NJoy from Amazon. Worked okay, but still wasn't exactly what I wanted. So I finally made my way here and looked at some options. The 510 was highly recommended, so I went with that. I managed to get off the "stinky sticks" for about 2 months, got overstressed, and went back to smoking. Well, once I started smoking again I rationalized to myself that I "couldn't afford" vaping. So I went on smoking for the next 6 months or so, always swearing I was going to quit but never doing it. I was starting to get concerned about my health, though, since I had bronchitis twice this year (and still went out with a 103 degree fever to get smokes!) and have been getting more and more out of breath. So I told myself I needed to give this vaping thing another shot. So I came back to the forum and people were talking about V4L and how easy it was to use. I had gotten tired of always having to fiddle with my 510, so I went ahead and ordered a VK. Just got my kit in today and all I can say is WOW! The shipping was super fast, I ordered on Saturday and it shipped Monday and made it here to Cali by Wednesday. The unit itself is awesome and I've even found one favorite flavor already (ironically it wasn't either of the flavors I ordered, it was a freebie thrown in). I've told my best friend and her husband all about V4L since they want to quit and they seem like they might order as well. And after putting my signature banner together I realized that smoking was costing more than vaping will, even if I toss each cart when I'm done, so there goes one of my old excuses to keep smoking!

Sorry to be so verbose, it seems almost like since I don't talk much I get all my "talking" done when I write instead :)

Lookin2quit, my heart goes out to you. My father also died of esophogeal cancer, back in 2000, as well as my grandfather's brother a few years earlier. It was a devastating process to go through.

I am so thankful I found this - I feel as though I've dodged a bullet. It's great to hear you've found a sweet spot. Remember, no matter how much vaping costs, what you REALLY can't afford is the risk to your health and well-being that cigarettes pose. I wish you the best!

Thanks for sharing. These are the stories that make it all worthwhile!

No- products like this make our lives worthwhile to be able to tell these stories. BTW- whenever I quit smoking in the past I have gained at least 5 pounds in a matter of a week or a week and a half. Well guess what? I lost 3 pounds!!!! Woo-hoooo. This has always been a point of great discouragement for me and another excuse to go back to the cigarette. NO EXCUSES here. And these work as good or better than an analog when I am under stress too!
Sorry if I sound like I am going on and on but I really feel like this is a miracle invention here. I don't know that I ever would have quit otherwise.
And the customer service here at V4L is like nothing I have experienced anywhere.

I'm 24 and have been smoking analogs since I was 13. About 6 months ago, a friend introduced me to an e-cig (don't remember the brand). I was blown away by the concept and began researching the hell out of it. After hours spent reading on these forums, I decided to go with V4L. I haven't had a analog since Christmas Eve (The day I got my starter kit. One hell of a Christmas present!). Now I take my e-cig everywhere I go and swear by it. Initially I was a little embarrassed, but now I am so confident in the product, most people are more intrigued. I have spread the good word and continue to do so. I have helped more than 10 friends quit smoking with Vapor 4 Life. I am so grateful for such a wonderful product and think stupid people like Rachael Ray need to do their research before bashing something that saved my life and many others! Keep vaping everybody!

It looks like this is where you introduce yourself! Not very different from most, but I'm a new user, 2 wks, 5 days or so smoke free. MX5 is my SIL and she got me started, so I need to send out a big thanks to her! She showed it to me at our family Mother's day get together. I went home, looked around on the V4L site and forums/blogs that linked around (Thanks to Val, Leaford, Nililus, and Puff) and decided to order a UU kit that night as a 30th birthday gift to myself. Got it on my birthday, and never looked back. I had 2 smokes afer getting it, one for comparison and one out of 15 yrs habit (woke up and lit one first thing the next morning, took two puffs, out) I am still amazed the transition was this easy. I have a 1/2 carton sitting around, I never thought I could leave them there for 2+ weeks and not care. I guess I'll give them away, but I will show them my PV for sure. To MX5, and V4L, I owe you one! Thanks

Ive been smoking since I was about 11. Im now 21. At about 15 I started smoking habitually at about a pack a day. Once I got in the military it went up to two packs a day. After the military I started working out and cut back to a pack a day again. Then I had a heart attack at 20 and decided i should quit. A freinds mom had a V4L so I checked them out one day. Got one, with parliments and kamels. It didnt help me quit at first but I cut back to about 2 packs a week. Then I went back to smoking a pack a day when I got divorced. I just ordered some new carts today, cowboy amd red energy, and I am going to try and quit smokes completely.

WOW, what a story for such a young man. Hang in here with US and it will make the road much easier, it the "Smoker's Anonimous... LOL. Now that this technology has been out there awhile, there are a number of us "Old Timers" in here to help you out; it just takes some time to find your groove, flavor and NIC level. Smoking Sucks and Vaping Rules!

Hi all,
I have been smoking analogs since 1982, I was 10-1/2 or 11 then, but we lived in Europe and things were different then. I have smoked a pack + a day since then. The cost and hassles associated with analogs have forced me to search out new ways to service my nicotine addiction.

I am new to this. I ordered a "***" (sounds like "glue") kit after checking different web sites, but not reading any forums. Huge mistake, at least for my part. The B** does not even come close to keeping up with me in terms of battery performance, and the PCC or portable charger actually discharges the battery if you leave it connected too long. I am in construction and don"t have time to screw around with checking to see if my battery is done charging before it discharges itself.

My Bl* experience has been dissappointing, but has given me hope that e-cigs are the way to go. I have learned one thing for certain reading this forum and that is there are many many products out there, and many many different opinions regarding what is good or works for different people.

Personally, I am still using analogs, cause the B*U is sub-par, in my honest opinion. I use it at home, to keep my wife happy, cause I dont smell like an ashtray anymore, but it cant keep up during the day.

After reading several threads on this forum, I decided today to order the V4L VAPOR KING-Ultimate Ultimatum Automatic Kit, and its in the mail. I CANT FRIGGIN' WAIT TO TRY IT.

Thanks to the mods for the forum, and I look forward to posting my own opinions as I get to try new products, and hope to be able to help someone else, as I have been help by this forum.

UPDATE on the V4L Vapor King!

I threw away my remaining Analogs.....I like the Vapor King that much and its a credit to ECF and all of you (members) that I didnt give up after my initial experience.

I am new to e-cigs, the cost and hassle of analogs (30 years worth @ a pack a day or more) was just getting to be too much. I tried another product (Blu) and was terribly disappointed. After that mistake, I found the ECF, from there found V4L. I was expecting a lot from the Vapor King, based on the various information I had read. Let me tell you that I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Ordered on a Friday afternoon with standard shipping and got my starter kit on the following Tuesday (Central Texas). The Vapor King produces copious amounts of warm vapor with an analog draw, the other product i tried where like drinking a really thick milk shake through a straw to get minimal amounts of vapor. I would like to say that the carts are "yummy" like I have read, but to me, they are "good" and way better that the crap I got with the Blu. Hopefully my taste buds will come back as others have reported and I can give you a different opinion. I am rotating 3 batteries and the pass through, have been using for 3 full days now with out needing to charge them (pack a day smoker!!!)

I plan on getting my dad a kit for Fathers day.

Started smoking at 14. I had tried a puff here or there before that...but it never "stuck" (and I wish it hadn't!) My grandparents and my parents all smoked. All the cool kids smoked. I wanted to be a party girl and it was part of the persona. Thus started a 30 year addiction. At that time cigarettes cost $1 a pack and I got $2 money...so it was a pack of smokes a day, a soda and a small bag of chips (that addiction is for another forum...)

My mom caught me (or figured it out) and told me to smoke one in front of her...she was angrier that I had been sneaking around than that I was smoking. My dad thought I was stupid....

My grandpa, for as long as I remember had slept sleeping in a chair. Making noises like he was going to cough his lungs and brains out. He had emphysema, asthma, congestive heart failure and black lung (from working in the mines). I still didn't learn....he died at 68. Smoking a camel...said it cleared his lungs....

I got pregnant with my son. I didn't quit smoking. I thought (in my naive youth) that the only thing it would cause was low birth weight. Since he was over 8 lbs, I figured I had "gotten away" with it. My son is a childhood onset schizophrenic and has Aspergers. There really is no link to smoking while pregnant to these diseases (that I know of, I chose to quit beating myself up with that years ago), but I will alway wonder...I still didn't learn....

About a year later, my grandma was diagnosed with lung cancer. She lived with it for 2 years. Radiation, but no chemo. When she asked her doctor if she should quit smoking, he said the damage was already done. She smoked until the day she died. Once the cancer metastasized to her liver, she died within 3 weeks. Of course I didn't learn....she was 72 and that WOULD NEVER happen to me...

Fast forward to 2000...33 years old. I have tried to quit by any means possible...over and over. Once I made it 3 months, cold turkey, but I was miserable. Almost every other quit lasted from a couple hours to a couple days...

2002...my uncle was diagnosed with liver cancer and bladder cancer. I cared for him until he died...around 2 months later. He was 64. They pointed to his smoking as a cause. Of course I scoffed at this...while I smoked 2-3 packs a day...

At this same time my mother was diagnosed with a mystery disease...they never really knew what it was...but her blood pressure always 200/120 or so and her blood sugars were out of control....turns out she had liver failure. Her death is the only one that can't be contributed to smoking. She was 61 when she died. They contribute her problems to obesity (another addiction that runs in our family...) but the smoking didn't help her blood pressure any....

She passed July of 2009. Now it's just me my son and my dad left. My dad is 74, very healthy (if not underweight) and an athlete...he rode his bicycle through Death Valley for his 70th birthday....And on September 1, 2010 he was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer. It metastasized to his brain and liver and he died 3 weeks later.

I promised him I would quit smoking. He said "Good luck". I watched him make the motions of smoking when he was so out of his mind he couldn't remember to go to the bathroom. I watched him try to light cigarettes with no lighter and worst of all, watched him cry because he wanted to smoke and couldn't remember how.

Since then I have made a few half hearted attempts to quit...until I ran across a thread about PVs in another forum. I ended up here doing a ton of research and ended up at V4L. I didnt quit the day I got it, but I believed it was possible now...I vaped and smoked a few days...then quit the analogs with 2 packs left. I did have a slip and ended up smoking those 2 packs, but now there are none left...and I am on my way!
