Wow such great stories! we should send this thread to the FDA!
Same story as a lot of you folks, I'm 53 and have been smoking for almost 40 years. Got the 510 and it did get me off the cigs but I was getting impatient with all the dripping.
Found this forum and got the Ult kit and mt 510 is gathering dust...:D
V4L is the way to go for me, the customer service is outstanding and the support from the owners, employees and members here truly are first class!

Congrats to you on being smoke free for 8 months. I was just wondering, with 901, it seems like a pain to have to push the cartridges out. I didnt realize there were so many different types of e-cigs. I use the KR808D from vapor cabin and when I am done with my cartridges I either throw them out or fill them with the fluid. How do you fill yours?? It just seems like a lot of work and big mess. Would love to hear your opinion. Thanks so much!:)

I am going to PM you as I am a bit confused about the question! The 901 is a good product, I tried it again the other day..Nothing in the world quite a good as the first drag off a fresh cart and a new batt of a 901..for about 3 drags. Then the refilling and recharging begins.. I remeber why I swiched to the VK 808-d!

Hi folks I have been lurking for a while but here is my story.

I started smoking at age 13, quit for a couple years when I was in my late 30's and the last couple years have been smoking off and on. Working as a cook, pretty much everyone in the business smokes. I got to the point where I was using the patch and would be fine till the weekend and then get fed up with it and buy cigs. Monday I would do the patch again...then buy cigs again.

One night I read a review of an ecig on the gadgeteer, then made my way here, got totally confused with the assortment of e-cig suppliers and did the smartest thing ever, chose the manufacturer sub-forum with both the most posts and the most viewing. After watching the videos on the V4L site, I bought a kit.

I liked it instantly, I ordered too strong carts and juice, so within 30 min of having it I ordered again and I am in a great place now. It is seriously better then smoking. Haven't had a cig since I got my order in october.

I started smoking at 16. I remember the first cigarette, since it's only been about 15 years. It was a Marlboro Medium that I bummed from my old buddy Matt. After that cigg, I'd bum one from him now and again over the next couple months. One day, I bought my first pack. I quickly switched from Marlboro Mediums to Marlboro Reds. After a few years of smoking Reds, I decided I wanted to quit. I absolutely hated Menthol cigarettes, so to force myself to smoke less, I bought a pack of Marlboro Menthol Lights. Yep, been smoking those for the past 12 years, although I did switch to 100's when the price got over $3/pack back in Michigan.

I've been watching the e-cig debate unfold over the past year or so, when I first heard about them as an alternative. It seemed that there was always some threat of legislation that could derail the ability to get refills and such. The other roadblock for me was all of the terminology that didn't make sense. Cartridges, atomizers, batteries, passthrus, high voltage, and mods oh my.... I kept putting it off until I saw the M702/Revolver series. It looked like the perfect solution, with everything in one kit, buy it and use it. I got it two weeks ago, and it's become a pacifier. Honestly, I love the little thing, it's so nice and tiny. Unfortunately, either due to the product or just due to inexperience, I'm killing atomizers left and right, and can see how this will become very expensive very fast once my 30 day warranty expires.

I have not touched an analog since the moment I assembled it, and have had very few cravings to go to the garage and pull out the full pack sitting in my saddlebag. I've tried Nicorette gum and cold turkey several times in the past. Each time, I'd go from two weeks to 6 months and revert back to the habit. I don't know that I intend to ever give up Vaping, but even if I did, I wouldn't be ashamed to head to the closet and pull my kit out in a high stress situation. At least I'm not coating my lungs in tar and loads of other crap.

I had heard about cartomizers, but didn't know much about them. I started reading on Friday about them, mainly with google searches. Every search brings up forum posts from ECF, and eventually I stumbled across V4L's forum. I've only made 3 posts here so far, but I've read just about every word posted in this forum since October or so. I knew this was the family I wanted to belong to. I placed my order for my Ult Ultimatum kit this evening, and can't wait for its arrival.

Hi Everybody. Happy Holidays.

I'm new here. First day on the forum. I've been vaping for 2 weeks and was off the tobacco by the second day. I love it........except for the nasty taste in my mouth......but not going back to tobacco for anything. I'm 52 as of yesterday, have COPD and I'm feeling better. Not couphing. I'm a little nervous about an upcoming annual physical in a week and what he might tell me about vaping.

Hope to get to know as many of you as I can. Looking forward to chatting with all of you and learning from you.

My doctor is very pleased with the fact that I'm not smoking. She seemed to know about vaping and didn't say a word against it.

I will give you one little tip though... Don't vape for 45 minutes or so before they take your blood pressure. The nicotine runs your blood pressure up and it takes about that long to settle down.

Other than that, there is NOTHING to worry about. BTW, I'm 56.

Thank, you so much for that tip Bob. I stocked up big time on high nicotine e-juice (and paid way too much now that I've had the time to shop around and read info from you all, but recently decided that if i'm giving up all the other nasty things that were in cigs, I may as well give up the nicotine also. I think I'll be able to do that as long as I still get to enjoy vaping whenever I want. (I know I'll have about 3 days of withdrawl but I can handle that) I'm hoping that the zero nicotine e-juice shows up very soon so I can get all of the nicotine out of my system before going for that checkup. I'm really looking forward to that.

I am 26, I started at 19 when I was in the Army. The nicotine keeps one awake well. I kept the habit for years. In the summer, I saw a blucig add on a torrent site I think. I thought it was a freakin cool idea, so I looked into it. I then found this forum and the v4l site. It was one of only a few websites that seemed to be an online store and not designed solely for first time buyers, which really set it apart for me.
