"As soon as I got home and opened my package, I was completely done smoking analogs." ...

I still blink in astonishment when I hear this now-familiar story. If we added all of the collective years so many of us struggled... good lord!

I mean, people quit on patches, etc.... but have you EVER heard anyone say, "WOW. I pasted on my first patch and WHOA, I was just DONE, voila, I LOVE this, WTF how is this POSSIBLE?, etc etc etc"

I know it doesn't work that fast and easy for everyone, but it sure did for me, and these stories keep piling up so incredibly...

Here is my story. I started using the Electronic Cigarette 2 years ago. I smoked a pack-and-a-half of Marlboro's for 20 years. I am a futures broker, and I originally bought my first e-cig so that I could spend more time on the phone, without having to go downstairs and outside for a cigarette every hour. I was able to get a good solid hour more phone time a day. I was able to get through an entire workday without a cigarette, with no discomfort. Without realizing it, I started using the e-cig at nights too, and before I knew it, it had been a month without a cigarette! Two years later, e-cigs have gotten much better, and I consider it a blessing that I am not contributing to any major health problems...

Cool story...I was at my friend's tonight, the one that allowed me to try her e-cig last week, and we were actually swapping carts! I had gotten flavors and freebies she and her bf hadn't tried yet, and they had some for me to try...how fabulous is that? You wouldn't ever see analog smokers saying...here try this one, I'll trade ya...too darned awsome!

I might as well add my story. I smoked 2 packs a day for over 40 yrs. I started as a kid and never quit though I did try all the usual routes except chantex which I would not do.

My hubby ended up getting a small case of larnex cancer which they did cure however when I was gone 2 months out of state with my elderly dad he decided to quit smoking.
He actually succeeded!! Amazing!
It was great!

However,,,,,,,,, it left me in a pickle. When I came home no one could smoke around him of course. Even going outside was not really good because he would sit on the screened porch a lot, and no matter what he could smell it. It drove him nuts.

Finally I decided that trying an ecig might help him deal with it.
I started out with greensmoke, went on to blu ( sent them back) then found vfl

I did not intend to quit, just make it easier on him when I was home.
I quit by accident you might say, just forgot to buy cigs after a week.

Poor hubby is still not happy, I dont think he will be for a very long time from the sound of people who have quit like he did. However I am SMILIN with v4L!

I started out with 24 mg and have taken it down to 11 mg with no problem within 2 months.
I still have no real intention to quit vaping , but at this rate it may happen by accident too LOL

I also saw my first e-cig at the mall ....thought the concept was good but doubted it could work for me and didn't want to spend almost $200 to find out. I had tried everything to quit smoking, the patch, gums (ewww), prescription drugs (made me nastier than satan himself), acupuncture (this helped me with some nerve damage issues but nothing on the smoking cessation), even hypnosis (found out I'm one of those people that cant be hypnotized, to analytical I think). What it came down to was that I didn't really want to quit, I enjoyed smoking, plain and simple. I wanted to quit for my health and the health of the people around me, but between the nic addiction and just plain enjoying the feeling and [less so] the taste of smoking I couldn’t give it up. I even tried the heavy duty self guilt psychological trip. I hung my mother’s pictures all over the house. the ones I took the summer before she died of lung cancer after smoking for 40 years. It made me feel guilty as hell, convinced me that I was going to walk in her shoes some day and probably not make it as long as she did. I was miserable, depressed, but still found myself apologizing to my Mom every time i lit up...she made me promise to quit before she died. (I have never admitted this to anyone before this ...but figure people here understand)

Then I came across an add for a "trial offer" for the "smoke51" (smoke anywhere) so figured what the heck ... got my kit .. it sucked ...sent it back and gave up on the idea again. I guess it worked just good enough to peek my interest though, I hit the web looking for something that was better engineered. There I found the guru of e-cigs, Leaford himself.
I became a student of his website and after a couple of weeks of research I decided the whole mod thing was not for me, dripping sounded kind of archaic, and that if this was going to work i needed SIMPLE. Then I saw that Leaford had joined V4L

Since I respected Leaford’s opinions, I took a look at the V4L website. I found Steve's message on the "about us" page and came to the conclusion that this guy really cares about what he was doing, about people trying to get off analogs, that he was one of us and dedicated to distributing the best product out there... between that message and the fact that Leaford thought enough of the company and Steve to join them [and go to china even] I thought this is the product I should try. I was still skeptical though.

Then that first order arrived (and dam quick I might add). I took it out of the bag put it together and on the first hit, and getting so much vapor I actually choked [I was expecting something like the smoke51, but there was no comparison].... Bells sounded in my head and I somehow knew this was it, I could now stop smoking analogs. I smoked maybe a half pack of analogs the next week, learned the ropes of vaping [mostly from all of you here] then found that analogs just didn't satisfy me anymore.

So here I am, a little over a month off analogs and already feeling a thousand times healthier; most of the ill effects of almost 30 years of smoking gone. My gums are even bleeding now...I know that sounds terrible but it's not; my dentist told me that most of my gum problems were because smoking (mostly the CO) was killing the blood circulation in my gums. Happy to say the receding is starting to reverse and my gums are pink again....YAY!! I can not begin to explain the feeling of freedom being off analogs has given me; but you all know what I mean.

So, thank you Leaford, Steve, Val, and everyone at V4L and on this forum for your part in possibly saving my life and setting me free from analogs; but most of all, for helping me keep my promise to my Mom. I did it!!!!

PS: I had to have tobacco flavors, kamel did it for me mostly, but then those sneaky friends at V4L with their bonuses have turned me on to 555, Kant, wintergreen and mint...oh and just got a bonus Espresso in my last order...now I have to order again gosh darn it... it was fantastic!! Thanks Steve, Val !!

Quitting an addiction is very diffucult. Becoming a V4Lifer is not quitting. Quitting is hard and it sucks even harder. Becoming a V4Lifer is easy and it feels wonderful.
I am 39 years old and started smoking when I was 13. Just wanted to hang with the cool kids. I smoked Marlboro red about a pack a day. Parents both smoked and dad died after a heart attack in his late 40's. (Years ago, I'm fine now, thanks ;) )
Approaching my 40's I made another New Year's resolution to quit... meh, not so much buddy. I had heard of an electronic cigarette some months earlier (by someone who had only seen it and asked about it) and it was said to be over $100 and that alone let me put the idea out of my mind. Fast forward to income tax refund check time and I now had the funds to check into it and 4 hrs online research later I placed an order. I had a half-day off from work and if I didn't pull the trigger right then it would be another week or so before I devoted more time to it, plus.. anyone else have this problem where money burns holes in your good clothes?
In that short time I learned that I did not want a 3-pc, and I did not want a white battery with tan cartridge and 'e-fire' LED. If I'm not smoking please let it look like a light sabre or a magic wand or something. Star Wars, Harry Potter fans... anyone? I got a cartomizer based e-cig from an overseas company and exercised the custom skin option (add 3 days to delivery time) and expected 10-14 days for delivery. Their site claimed 1-cartridge equaled 2 packs of cigarettes. So, eventhough it was a lot of money ( no savings over analogs ) I'd pay more to be healthier and cleaner etc...
With considerable investment, growing anticipation, and an eternity to wait I went online to continue my research and found ECF and then the 6 part "Guide to Vaping" by DonDaBoomVape. My forum lurking was quite leisurly as there was nolonger a burning sensation eminating from my wallet and I was able to learn alot. Like where to find people content with their vaping experience. The V4L sub-forum is the mostest.
The pricing made it possible for me to make a small order and start vaping before I ever laid eyes on my pricey imported e-cig. I had hoped that my import was a re-branded KR8, but no such luck.
I received my first order from V4L on Feb 24 and haven't smoked an analog since St Patricks Day. (Oh c'mon... like you've never had too much to drink and done something that perhaps a sober version of yourself would never do! ;) )
I find that 24mg keeps me from craving and I vape less than I would smoke. Cartos last more than a day. 24 is too strong for my mornings ( I use 11 or less ) and is also too strong for some flavors. ( 24 DocPepper, can't vape it. 24 Watermelon, mmmmm.. tasty ) :D YMMV :D
I use auto batts, I like holding them like a pen and a manual would need to be oriented in my hand for each draw.
I find that XL batteries allow me to mouth inhale as I did with analogs and I don't miss anything. With standard batts and shorties I have learned to direct inhale to get the throat hit and vapor I would expect. With direct inhale, throat irritation is much more severe than mouth inhale. IMHO

These are my experiences and I share them here in the hope that someone will benefit from it.

Thanks to my V4L family, papa Smilin, auntie Val, uncle Leaford, Wade, Christine and anyone else I haven't mentioned by name, the ECF and its' very knowledgeable members. From the bottom of my heart - Thank You!!

Hey everyone,

The King has risen! Hallelujah!

I'm amazed that only after three days I'm done with analogs! I can breathe freely without that tight, wheezy feeling inside my chest and throat and it feels great to be on the road to recovery after all these years of self-destruction. I was a smoker for 25 years or so and a heavy smoker at that. I started out at about a pack or less a day and then quickly graduated to smoking a pack and a half a day. Then I went up to two packs a day. Life became very stressful for awhile there so I bumped myself up to three packs a day! Ugh! that was too much for me so I gradually reduced my smoking to about two packs a day. Since then it has been two packs per day every 24 hours for at least fifteen years.

Fast-forward to Friday, April 1st. My Vapor King has arrived and I'm feeling a bit fearful (Okay, okay, I was a scared little #@!!$#!) and was questioning myself about wanting to quit smoking analogs. I just shelled out $120.00 bucks, so regardless, I was going to give vaping an honest try. The first day (Friday morning, 11:00am) I unwrapped my VK and began hitting it like a crack-pipe. The taste was different, not like analogs, but I was smoking and that was good enough at this point. I wound up smoking two analogs instead of forty. Apparently something was working with this Vapor King.

The next day (Saturday) I woke up, still in a sleepy daze, and decided to smoke an analog. I was sitting on the porcelain throne (sorry, too much information? :)) with my nasty analog cigarette thinking how bad it tasted but I still managed to finish it. I went all day without smoking anymore analogs. Nighttime arrived and I began cooking a nice meal for the family, vaping maybe once or twice while cooking. At the end of preparing the meal I decided to give an analog another try. I couldn't finish it. My chest felt heavy and it was difficult to breathe so I gave it to my wife (she only smokes a few analogs a day) and she finished it up for me.

Today (Resurrection Sunday) and I really doubt if I'll attempt to smoke another analog. These E-cigs have ruined analogs for me! The more I vape the more I like the flavor of the smoke. There are still a few things I need to get used to, but for the most part I think my relationship with analogs is finally over, thank God! I'm glad I decided to go with Vapor4Life. If I had bought a sub-standard product with crappy flavors and less then adequate vapor production I might still be killing myself with analogs. My children are happy that they don't have to worry about their Father suddenly dropping dead because of smoking and I feel a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Now all I have to do is lose some weight and I'll feel like a teenager again!

God bless everyone,

-laz.

Laz, I have seen a FEW (maybe more than a few) and have witnessed in myself...a drop in weight after switching to vaping. The yummy flavors of the vapes kill my snack attacks and I have lost 3 pounds already! Now...you may say three pounds is not much, but that was the first week of vaping.

Sadly, I am having the reverse problem. I've put on four pounds because I can finally taste my food again - and it tastes way too good! :D

Hehe!

That's a shame. I've read about what Roulette said, the sweet flavors tend to help some people with their sugar cravings, more power to them! The main thing that has been holding me back with weight lose is my pathetic lung capacity. I would be much more active if I didn't become out of breath so quickly. That should change in the next few weeks since I feel I'm done with analog cigs.

laz ihave scarred lungs from too many bouts with bronchittus so my lung capacity was 1/3 of the normal adult,

I say was! Now after 2 months of vaping and no cigs my lung capacity is growing considerably. I have hopes it will get even better. I know it will never be great , but I can walk now where as before I really couldnt walk very much.

It will get better:)

My story :) When I was 8 (yes that's EIGHT) my brother was babysitting me. He and all his friends were down on the back porch. I went out there and they were ALL smoking cigarettes! Well ... I jumped right in with a little coaxing from my big brother. Turns out he didn't want me to snitch on him! Few days later the little turd got caught and snitched on me!

Anyway, I'm 47 now and have been smoking ever since. Stupid, stupid, STUPID! Like some on here I LOVED smoking... from the very first day it seems like. I quit twice for a year and a half each but kept coming back. I even smoked through two pregnancies. Hate to admit that now but I just couldn't stop. With my second pregnancy I went into labor at six months and my doc actually made me start again because the tension from trying NOT to smoke was so bad it was making me have contractions. I even smoked in the hospital room because I had to smoke and couldn't walk around!

Sometime around Christmas one of my kids mentioned e-cigs that they saw at the mall and being the computer geek that I am, I broke down and researched them. Sooo glad I did. I started with a greencig. It was a good one but I hated the taste of the menthol from them. I wanted some of the yummy sounding juice that everyone was talking about! One funny thing is that during my research I came across one of the videos about the Vapor King from V4L. However, instead of following the link like the intelligent person I am, I did a search on "Vapor King" and ended up with a 510 from e-cigarettes, Inc.com named ironically "Vapor King" I still have it, I still use it but the 510 was just such a pita for me to use when I went out of the house that I finally broke down and bought the VK from V4L.

I really love it! Just easy to use. I'm having some hardware glitches but with the awesome customer service V4L has I'm sure it will be fixed as soon as I tell them about it (my email is down at the moment.) Anyhow, my daughter is gonna use the greencig (yes all of my STUPID children smoke) I bought my niece a kit from V4L and she can't wait! I gave it to her last night at her birthday party at my brother's house!

I have to say that just about everyone there was smoking. It was REALLY hard but I made it through the whole night with NO analogs! YAY for me!

Ok- my story started out by chance. My stepdad was not feeling well so my sis brought her husband's blood preassure cuff to the house to take his blood preassure. That night as we were all gathered for dessert we took each other's blood preassure. EEEEEEEkkkkkssss! Mine-which had always been 120/80 read 157/102. I was in denial so we took it several times- the last time it was up to 170/110 (probably from increased anxiety-ya think??). Well that started me on a mission- I gave up my salt on everything-I gave up my huge caffiene consumption (switched to caffiene diet pepsi) and started hoop dancing for exercise. Only one thing left to do-----quit smoking!!! Ok- you can't do everything at once so I set that one the back burner- just tried to smoke a few less a day......then- one week later I had a chance encounter with Cathy. Now Cathy is a die-hard smoker-one of those that still is not over the ban on smoking in resturants and will complain daily about it. lol Well this day Cathy comes up to me in the resturant and blows "smoke" in my face!! Then she proceeds to tell me how she bought this ecig at the mall and she is on day 3 of not smoking. Well I thought- if Cathy can do it- I think I can. Cathy never tried to quit before- I, on the other hand, tried the patch, the gum, the cold turkey, the cutting down and the chantix and none worked for long. Plus I always felt before that when I was going thru the withdrawal that once I got thru it........then what? I can't imagine never smoking again! Even losing my beloved mom to emphyzema didn't do it for me. Well I am here to say- ecigs has done what nothing else could before. From day one I haven't touched an analog and don't even miss them one bit! I smoked 20-35 cigs a day and in 17 days I am down to 11mg nic. I don't see myself giving up vaping- and I am ok with that- and V4L has been my best vaping experience so far.
I have been lurking around here for about a week and got so much info- THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

Yeah, this forum has been great! It helped me out very much with my research on e cigarettes. I was amazed with the devotion and love that everyone had for V4L, and really did not see that with the other sub-forums for other products. So far, all of those posts I've read have been right.

I smoke a pack a day for 16 years and failed at quitting, at least, 5 times. A year or two ago, I switched from Camels to American Spirits cause they are suppose to be better. I did go through some of the chemical withdraw for a week or two, but I could tell that they were "better". I finally decided, with the help of my wife, to give up the coughing, the taste, the smell, and the stuff that would send me to an early grave. That's when I did my research and went with V4L.

It gives me the nicotine that I'm wanting and keeps my hands occupied like my old "dirty" cigarettes. I started off with the 36mg cartos, and find that I only need a puff or two every half hour or so. I went on a 15 min drive yesterday, where I would try to get in at least 2 smokes (since I couldn't smoke indoors). But, yesterday I only had 3 puffs off my beautiful, chrome VK.

16 years of smoking stopped yesterday, to the thanks of Vapor King and V4L. Here goes day two.

I feel like I'm drinking their "kool-aid", in the V4L cult4Life.
