So where am I supposed to get a needle bottle for my 808 Wetbox?

This really ticks me off.

I buy the Wetbox on July 10th and plunk down my $50

Then on July 19th I spend just shy of $50 on accessories for it.

The needle assemblies suck and leak.

A month later I can't even waste more money on this thing if I wanted to.

Qty Name Price Total
2 Replacement KR808 Needle Assembly for the WetBox $6.95 $13.90
3 Empty 3ml Bottle for the WetBox $1.00 $3.00
1 BDL IMR14500 High Drain Battery $6.99 $6.99
1 Ultrafire LC14500 Protected Rechargeable Lithium Battery $5.99 $5.99
1 Trustfire Multicharger $14.99 $14.99
SubTotal : $44.87
Shipping and Handling Fee : $6.00
Coupon Discount: - $4.49 Total: $46.38

That's $100 bucks down the tube in just over a month.

Don't get me wrong, when the damn bottles aren't leaking all over the place the 808 Wetbox is great.

But 7 bucks for a piece of junk piece of plastic is absurd.

I apologize for my tone but this is infuriating.

Have you asked Bruce?

Yes and I've gotten no replies, which is surprising since he was quick to get back to me to report that he was the exclusive carrier of the 808 Wetbox.

Edit:

Hopefully my conclusion is incorrect and CoV will stand behind its product. Bruce was great in providing me with information prior to my purchase and I'm going to withhold further comment for now.

Oh well. At least I have my 808 Elegant. The Wetbox feeding mechanism never really worked that great and after the needle bottles starting leaking all the time I quit using them. Most of the time I just used the Wetbox as a battery with a place to hold a regular 3ml bottle of juice. Just took the needle cap off and put a regular cap on and used the bottle to drip fill the carto.

I still use it but I feel stupid for spending $100 on a PV with a bottle holder held together with glue sticks.

Don't feel bad. We have all made the same kind of mistakes buying Ecig stuff.

HMM.. been using the same needle bottle for 3 months now with no leaks ! Where is it leaking from... Are you sure it is not liquid coming from the tip of the needle back down when you squeeze the bottle... This happens if you do not hold the wetbox horizontally for a few seconds after squeezing the bottle...

I got my Webox yesterday. I orderd all the accessories, charger, 2 extra needles, ect for about $93 bucks. The upside is that my three Ego batts were on their last legs and I was looking at having to replace them anyway. Almost their replacement cost alone justified switching to the Wetbox.

So far it's working great. After reading about the leakage problems I try to keep my bottles upright as well as the Wetbox. I too tilt it to about a 30-45 degree angle when I pump it so that the juice doesn't run back down the needle. So far I haven't had any run back and get onto the connector. I especially like the ease of changing liquids. I have about four that I rotate.

I haven't looked to see what could be done to get a better seal on the needle and cap. I'm sure that can be worked out and if so, that would make it perfect.

:)

I've 'diagnosed' my leaking KR808 needle bottles and the leak is where the threaded cap and the base of the needle are connected. Any time I try to pump the filler bottle liquid drips down the side of the bottle. Definitely not liquid coming back down from the needle or from the Wetbox not being vertical.

For anyone having the same issue... came up with a workaround but I'm not sure how long it will last. Found some non-toxic aquarium glue. I'm not sure how well it will hold up when exposed to nicotine though. We'll see.
