Waiting.. got my new batteries in for the birth of my Big Chuck.. 18650 the first charge?? how long and then full drain or never full drain? or.. I know I have read this some where and I am sorry to ask the same question I know you have been asked a zillion times./../

You should charge everyother day or so? I think thats what I read. Read the side of the batt it should say it has no memory effect. So drain should not be a factor.

The protection will kick in if you drain it too much, but it's not a good idea let it drain until the protection kicks in. You should never really let an 18650 go below 3.7 volts. If you're not going to use a multimeter, I suggest topping it off every day.
