I still get the craving for an analog at the usual times, (first thing in the morning, after a meal, on the phone, etc...) That's conditioning... But sometimes it hits me out of nowhere. Sometimes, I think there's something in cigarette tobacco, other than the nicotine, that's also addictive... Something that's not present in nic juice... Other times, I think it's only natural to still have those urges after 25 years of smoking.

The only times I've picked up an analog have been times of equipment failure (dead batteries, out of attys, juice, etc...) and my experience has been pretty much like everyone else... I find it repulsive, and disgusting, and I can't finish it... Yet I still crave it sometimes.

I don't think that goes away. I know lots of people who've quit smoking, and they all say they still crave it from time to time, no matter how long it's been since their last smoke...
It's the nature of addiction. Once you're addicted to something, you may stop indulging in the substance, but you never stop being an addict.

Nope! I honestly don't have the desire to taste that ugly, stanky, tobacco smoke. I prefer vaping and enjoy it waaaay more and "I" have the "say-so" over it, for the first time, as opposed to analogs that dictated my life. Now I have FREEDOM! My body is healing, I'm loving life, and I don't wanna miss a thing!

My husband still smokes cigs and it doesn't even bother me, other than the stanky smell. It's not just "stinky", it's stanky!! When I was trying to quit, cold turkey, seeing him smoke drove me nuts, I would take the cig away from him, right out of his hand and smoke it.

I'm proud to say I haven't smoked in 6 weeks and I smoked 1-2 packs for 31 yrs!! Life is beautiful!!!

So no. I don't miss something that made me feel bad all the time, took a huge chunk of my check every week, and ruled my life.

"Victory is a Wonderful thing!!!"

2 years no cigarette habit, but with a slip here and there (maybe 10 total... max), though I admit I love the smell of analog second hand smoke. It reminds me of a simpler time, when I was 16 and craved tobacco-flavored cigarettes (not fruit flavored...).

Not only that, but I'm also down to 5mg, alternating with 0mg. I plan on staying at this rate forever.

I haven't smoked since my 3rd day of vaping and I don't miss it at all. I'm getting my nicotine and the 510 produces so much vapor that I am satiated.

The big plus is the clean tasty flavors I've been vaping taste so much better than an actual cigarette ever did.

I do miss it every now and then, but not enough to go out and buy a back of "yuckies" (what we called them around our 4 yo daughter). I had a spinal fusion surgery on the 19th and since then I have had to switch to 0 nic juice in order to give the fusion a better chance. I am definitely going a bit crazy (and stealing puffs off my wife's 11mg e-cig every now and then). Funny, I am going crazy and my wife is happy as a clam since she is still getting her nic. Actually I will be selling a bunch of high-nic ecopure & mixing liquid I just got from the UK once I find that section here. I can't use it now and my wife prefers PG.

Two days before my surgery, my smoking friend came over and my wife and I decided to try a "yuckie" when he first got here just to see what it was like, and like just about everyone else here says.... it tasted like crap. 8-o

I spent hours drinking beers with my friend discussing e-cigs as I let him use my old one and at one point he asked if I thought they worked. I simply asked, "If you want to know if they work, let me ask you when was the last time you had a cigarette?" It had been over two hours, and when drinking, there is NO way he would have gone that long without a cigarette. :) I think that sold him.

Pre-script: After reading this, I thought I should share my smoking history, so I came back and added this.
I am..... errr.... WAS a 2 plus pack a day smoker, and started when I was 13 years old. I am now 38 yrs old. That is 25 years of smoking.

Well, I guess, from other posts I have read, as well as the guy that got me started on vaping, 3 is the magic number. I decided i was going to quit 3 days after getting my starter kit. The day before it arrived I smoked my average 38 analogs. Day 1 I smoked 7 analogs, and vaped away. Day 2 I smoked 3 ana's. Day 3 was 1 analog, because the wife did not get a starter kit, and she wanted me to join her on the back porch for an evening smoke???? Day 4 was rough for me, but it was all psychological. Once I told myself that I could do withouth it, I have not looked back. Granted, it has only been 12 days, but i still have a half a pack of smokes that I have left in my truck. Have not even considered touching them.

I have tried every other method I am aware of. Acupuncture, Hypnosis, Jantex, nic' patches, cold turkey. None of them came remotely close to doing what the ecig did for me. I dont think i will ever go back to ana's, so long as I can keep getting supplies in.

2 pack a day guy for 45 years. Although the last year was RYO pipe tabacco and pipes. Love a Meraschum!!!!!

I started e-cig because it was a new thing, a new toy. For about a week I played with the toys and I got more toys, bigger, better, more Power (insert Tim Allen laugh here...) After the second week it was time to go buy some more pipe tobacco, and you know what...I just didn't find the time, never got around to that side of town... I've tried one or two analogs from my roommate, but like everyone else yyuuuuccckkkk@@@

Now its my 801, or the other 801 or the 801 I put together from the extra parts of the first two kits, second favorite is the Prodigy ane then my Janty Stick.

I still miss taking out one of my pipes for a walk down memory lane, but haven't done it since I'm still haven't bought any pipe tobacco. Maybe I'll drop by the tobacco store one of these decades, if he is still in business.

I've been using my 510 for almost 3 months now. In the beginning I always had the urge to smoke, but I waited about a week and a half to tempt fate. I even still have my 3 month old pack of smokes sitting in my drawer "just incase". I found after a while that even taking a hit off someones ciggy made me feel sick to my stomache. Its just not the same(who woulda thought I'd be saying that about a real cig). I have a couple of friends including my girlfriend, who I got started on the 510, but they are starting to fall off the bandwagon. I think the more you refuse to smoke, and the more you embrase the vape, you WILL start to realize really how bad they taste. Just my two cents.

I'm on week #6. I actually bummed one off of a friend after week #2. Not because I had the desire to smoke an analog. I just wanted to see if they were as repulsive as I thought they'd be. To no surprise, it tasted rancid to me. My buddy almost didn't give me one because he knew I switched to vaping. I think I took 6 drags before I put it out. It left an old, familiar taste in my mouth that I really could have done without. I could still feel it in my lungs even an hour after smoking it.

No. I don't miss it one bit.

That's funny, I did the same thing last Friday. I was at a poker game and I wanted to have one just to see how it tasted\felt. Needless to say I had the exact experience you did. I don't know if I would say it was rancid but it didn't taste very good and I reeked afterward. I'll take vaping any day of the week over analogs.

I fully agree with that. I have a friend that was big time into hard drugs, and after 3 years of being clean and sober, he still considers himself an addict. Though cigarettes could hardly be called a "hard drug", nicotine is arguable just as addictive, if not more.

After no analogs in almost 2 months , I miss the ease of just taking out a cig and smoking it with no fear of the atty getting flooded or just failing, the cart stuffing sticking to the atty or dead batteries. The worst fear with analogs was if my lighter died and WHERE to go for a smoke.

I don't miss the smell or the taste. Thinking about analogs gives me a sad nostalgic feeling sometimes like a lost friend... Then I vape some Kiwi or Watermelon and get over it really fast!;)

I leave my house with no less than 3 full PVs PLUS 2 batteries for each, 2 flavors of juice and 2 extra atomizers, my car has every charger under the sun and I keep a PT in my desk at work "just in case". But hey, I'm not paranoid or anything!

I have been vaping since June 26th and I went the first week only vaping no nic and waearing patches then I ran out of patches and so I would smoke 6 cigs a day compared to the usually pack, so the no nic was helping the psyuchological and I would have a real cig every 3 or 4 hours, I then final;ly got my order for 24mg and 36 mg juices and some 18mg vanilla and 24mg strawberry from JC I vaped for an entire week with no cigarettes, but see I am a sanctioned medical MJ user under Ontarios Med MJ access program, and I had a habit of smoking a cig after I smoke the herb. After the week of only vapor and no cigarettes I have started smoking occasionally now, but it's because I havent found my flavour yet. I am hoping to try dunhill kent camel and all the cig varietys to see if I can find a juice that is tobbacco like but not SWEET. Thats what keeps me going back to analogs. Also funny to mention I stumbled upon PV's while looking for a vaporizer for my MJ. I have owned several and can tell you guys this, when vaporizing tobbacco in something like the iolite, the inavap or the volcano(goo
gle the names) the tobbacco does not releSAe any visble vapour it is a gas, and when you inhale it it is so incredible harsh and makes you cough your ... off
I did it once and will not do it again. Now with marijuana in those vaporizers you produce clouds of vapor similar to a PV because the vaporizer is vaporizing the essential oil in marijuana which is a fat moecule like an oil, so you get great vapor with those devices but anyone looking into one must realize they are horrible for tobbacco. Although I have had some success putting the filling from an e cigartee into the vapor chamber (bowl) and soaking it with e juice, when used with the volcanol you get a nice amount of good quality vapor with no burnt taste whatsoever as the technology uses hot air(that can be digital changed within a degree) being brought through the material not applied directly like an atty.

Also I had a bad habit where I would take a puff off of my cigarette then take a puff off of the PV right after so that the flavours mix in my lungs then exhale, but I think that is overdoing it and I try not to do that.

I am planning on picking up a new vaporizer sometime soon but the model I waNt called the Extreme tower 2 is 300$ and its too expensive right now. So I might get this www.vaporgenie.com as I have heard great things about it. I just think that if I cut out the smoking of the herb and injest it in a different way (vaporizing) that I would have no reason to smoke cigarettes at all because I quit cigarettes the last tiem for a year becuase I bought a vaporizer and I said hey if I'm not smokiogn weed, then theres no point for me to keep smoking cigarettes and so I switched to gum and chewing tobbacop, Snuff, Skoal.
You know another thing I was thinking about is how I don't find Pvs harsh at all but when I let people I know try it then cough hard off the smallest bit. I have yet to find a jucie other then 36 mg unflavouyred that I would say could make me cough withb a 5 seconds pull. Usually I take anywhere 3 or 4, 2 second pulls then inhale it all.

Thanks for Reading,

Max.

Yes, I miss the ease of the real thing, and I do still have the occassional one (mostly outdoors though since I love not having my house stink). I think the only reason I can stick with mostly vaping is that I love the choice of different flavors and the cleaniness of it. I doubt that I'll ever be completely analog free, but now compared to use of the e-cig, I'm ok with that.
