Just curious.......
So it seems a lot of people use vaping to quit smoking. Do you guys plan on quitting vaping, eventually, as well? Do you guys consider it a step to stop any sort of smoking altogether or is it a "healthier" substitute for you?

I just switched a few days ago and have cut out regular smokes almost all together after a pack a day for 13 years.

I thought I would quit vaping, at first it was just a means to stop smoking but I've grown to really enjoy it. That said, I don't vape like i used to smoke, often times I will leave my devices at home and then enjoy a nice relaxing vape when I get in, or not vape in the morning then have a few drips after lunch. I'm finding it easy to cut the nic down and i'll be happy when i'm down to 6mg, but i don't see myself stopping after that.

I thought about this too!!! I am buying 6 mg nicotine now... with occasional hits of 12 and 18... I sure have bought a lot of stuff?? I chain vape..... big time I think... So, I am not sure... and my ride isnt over yet...

For me?? Vaping is a whole new life style

1) There is the hardware research
2) Finding the ultimate juice flavor
3) The joy of tinkering with thing
4) The shopping addiction
5) The Youtube reviewers (quite entertaining)
6) This forumn
7) New endeavors I have yet to explore: Vape meets, vaping lounges, DIY juices, rebuildable atomizers (re-wicking an evod doesnt count right??)

So.... I think it will be awhile before I quit vaping.... I have a list of things I want to do?!? but in the meantime - I am feeling better! no more hearing my lungs wheeze when I lay down at night to sleep....

I love vaping.. but... is it just a temporary obcession?? I dunno.... time will tell.

Hello :) perhaps when things calm down I may quit. Sometimes I do 0 nicotine and it keeps me occupied for a while (without climbing the walls). My previous quit attempts from cigarettes were not successful. One time I made it a year cold turkey, only to start back up with the chain smoking. I switched to chewing tobacco (not snus) for a few years. It was very painful to quit, and whenever I switched back to smoking.....ended up smoking about 3 packs a day  When a person is giving up vaping and good with it, I suggest keeping your equipment stashed. So if a bad day hits, and you want a cigarette you can just go back to vaping :vapor:

I've been vaping for almost 4 years now. That said, I never wanted to quit smoking. I enjoyed being able to take a step back and relax with a cig. The tax increase in NY made a pack of cigs $13.50 and at a pack a day, I could not justify the expense.

I didn't get into e cigs to quit smoking as much as it was to save money. I know it sounds stupid but that's my experience. Now that I'm a seasoned vaper, the thought of having a cigarette makes me sick. I have no plans to quit.

I'm experiencing the same thing. I started at the 24 nic.... Going to get some backup tanks try a lower nicotine amount next. I like "alone" time to just sit by myself too. I do find myself vaping more than I would be smoking though. Especially while driving. There isn't really an "end" to the vaping like reaching a .... on a regular smoke.

Good question. I'm not completely off analogs but am hoping to work on that here in the next week. I've had one analog so far today (with my coffee, of course!) and am planning on waiting until this evening for my second analog. Weekends are the hardest for me.

I really enjoy the vape experience. Plus, I get really snacky sometimes so I feel like the e-juices reallyt help me when I get in that mode. I've lost about 7 lbs since starting the vaping, which is another plus! Why eat fruit loops when I can vape them? :) Anyhoo, I hope to quit the ecigarette some day but not in the near future.

I hear you... I grew up/lived in Jersey for about 25 years. It's expensive. For me it was just like a utility bill tho... part of my budget. I had absolutely no plans to quit but my kid has asthma and even tho I never smoke indoors or with him in the car with me, we are thinking the smoke on my clothes was triggering it. So my choices were to quit cold turkey (while transitioning to graveyard shifts... not gonna happen) or I was strongly "encouraged" by my wife that I would have to change in and out of my smoke clothes outside. So I ran out and got an e-cig and surprisingly liked it. Of course I started with the highest nicotine they had and tobacco flavor.

This. This is why I love vaping and think of it more as a hobby than a replacement for cigs. Well said! :thumb:

Yeah I went and bought a mod kit right off the bat cause it looked like the one my friends have. Apparently, from what I'm told on here, that was not a good idea but I'm getting used to it and being forced to learn a lot very quickly and can't wait for my day off to go buy extra parts and different pieces for it.
