Social media links on EVERY post now?

What makes me sad is that the members that have been around a little bit know this happens with upgrades...and that it gets resolved/removed as soon as it can be done...and yet...here we are 153 posts later...

It took a half year or more of moaning about the "My Posts" not sorting correctly before it was fixed. We were even told multiple times that it WAS fixed, before it was.

I hope this issue is resolved much more quickly. And, suspect it will be in view of the crowd's reaction to it.

Except you can't, because the button links are generated anew with every single loading of the page and it takes forever and even though i blocked them they still reappear!

Yeah, i got it figured out now, forgot about the rat's tail in the URL. I was assuming that
it's done by "Block that link!" without having the need to adjust it.
Now they're gone, but seem to be loading in the background, still, though the page now loads quicker than before.

They are gone from the new posts but still there on the older posts but the site is loading much better now.

Edit: Nuts - They are back but the site is still loading much better so far.

What I find really sad is that we have outstanding members of the community acting like children over this issue. We get the message it is causing some of you grief. I personally don't like the social media links either, but it is what is. We'll do a workaround, but like anything else it takes time.

Now to address some specific issues:
You are not paying to Beta test. Stop being a whiner. Upgrades are necessary and often do not happen smoothly when a forum is heavily modified.

I'm sorry that you think its all about the money. It isn't but hey I'll play your game ".... and join VF, they think this way too."

To those that complain about the slowness of response. yes I was asleep last night and this morning i had breakfast with my family. Shame on me!


How about this... I'll leave this thread open so you can complain but the next person that mentions any of the three points i covered in bold gets a ban, no bs no kidding.

I'm actually glad this happened because now I know how to block them on other sites as well with the added "block social widgets" filter for Adblock. Thanks ECF.
