I already disabled my automatic renewal. Not paying for pages to load at snail speed. This is crazy.
I use firefox and adblocker was working great....but...I did something wrong and it messed everything up, so I un-instaled. It does work though, Im just not a techie. So I will just have to DEAL with it..grr
The disable on the social media buttons in the header took months. And still some speed is lost.
I have to say I did not become supporting member to be a BETA tester. 
"Tweet" is still on every post and I would like it GONE too. Thank you.
eta: actually, the social media links are still there. My Ghostery blocked everything except Tweet.

There is some Glitch on the ECF and People Except it to be Fixed Yesterday. I for one am Embarrassed to even read some of thing that are posted here.
Maybe we should change that Catch Phrase to "Your Pizza in 30 Seconds or Less".

As much as I appreciate the option to turn off the social media buttons (I realize it isn't working for this new upgrade), that would only turn it off for me. If these social media buttons stick around, that still gives others the option to tweet/Facebook MY post and everyone else's, whether they have their option turned off or not. That is where my issue lies with this upgrade/change. Sure I could block it myself, but that won't stop someone else from sharing something I posted. No likey.

Reading posts is currently an option that we can still choose...for the time being??. That freedom has not been taken away

Hey zoid - how about - "your page loads in 30 seconds or less?"
IDK for sure, but it would seem to me that if I can quote this (as above) I could tweet it too... button or no button. Also the tweet would be from me, not from you (I think). Same with my liking something on FB. My like, not yours.
Everybody needs to chill on this issue, IMO until we find out what the deal is. Maybe some of you FB fans and tweeters can TRY IT and tell us how it works, rather than everyone panicking about it (and I'm not singling you out here pringles13, a lot of people have said this). I'd like to know the results. Maybe someone did, and I missed it, buried in all the ....um.... messages above.

What I find really sad is that we have outstanding members of the community acting like children over this issue. We get the message it is causing some of you grief. I personally don't like the social media links either, but it is what is. We'll do a workaround, but like anything else it takes time.
Now to address some specific issues:

How about this... I'll leave this thread open so you can complain but the next person that mentions any of the three points i covered in bold gets a ban, no bs no kidding.

please remove them it takes the pages forever to load and is very frustrating
+10 on the above. Ecf is slow enough. Now it's slower than dial up. Not much point in high speed internet.

I'm sorry my computer cannot run this forum so that I can read the entirety of the thread, but are you saying that this isn't a mistake, someone actually meant for this to happen?
