Social media links on EVERY post now?

I'd like to apologize for overreacting about the social media buttons, but these kind of "features" just bug me massively whereever and whenever i stumble upon them on the internet. It's just the frustrating experience that whenever i seem to have discovered an awesome forum/bulletin board they implement social media stuff that slows down performance, cloggs the viewability and adds "features" most users don't ever use.

Thanks for acting this fast.

FWIW (which ain't much!) but I too read it as OS was mad. :unsure:

It is the staff who is owed an apology. The infantile and ridiculous behavior on this thread could have been avoided with some patience. If someone's life is so wrapped up here that 14 hours of inconvenience has such a dramatic effect..............they need to reexamine their life.

You're wrong, in my opinion.

The staff's response should have been, "We are aware of the situation, and we are working to rectify the problem." That should have been your only response. Beyond that, allow whoever wants to vent their spleen to do so, and ignore it. That is the correct customer support response.

I think in this case it's slightly different. Maybe staff could have responded a bit quicker. Definitely some members should've used restraint.

This isn't a normal customer support issue -- This is a forum where we should be at the least respectful of each other. Understand, I'm not a let's give peace a chance guy. But BS is BS.

They still show in PMs for some stupid reason. They are pointless since if you +1 a PM out of your box noone can read it but you anyhow...

1. Does this mean that they will eventually be removed from the first post on each page and from the PMs?

2. If so, will they be transferred to a different place?

3. Will the option to disable them will be offered again by ECF?
