I think this would be perfect for vaping. And it would remedy the hassle of remembering to charge your power pack. And best of all, you can charge it on your dash!

It doesn't look like there a usb connection, but that's because it comes with adapters. And one of the adapters is a female usb.

I hate to be the harbinger of doom, but calling on my previous experience working with solar power sources, I'd say that the current produced by such a small looking device would probably be far too low for it to be able to manage to power a USB passthrough, although it may possibly manage to very slowly trickle charge a battery.

Sorry I didn't provide enough info. It has a built in lith ion battery and it is also rechargeable via usb. So in a way its like a apc powerpack, but with ability to reach a full charge after 8 hours of sunlight. It would most definately come in handy if you were stuck on a deserted island with no power. I found this device at thinkgeek.com

i do have one of these i bought to play with..

DealExtreme: $48.90 Dual Ports Solar Powered Self-Recharging USB Battery (with Cell Phone Adapters)

my first thoughts were no way on this planet is anyone getting the five volts that gets talked about from USB powered devices

the long cheap cables used drops the voltage that actually gets to the atomizer way down..

did it power a 901 atomizer well... no not with standard long USB cable i have..

the solar panel is well over rated.. but its small neat and with a shorter better cable will probably work okay..

This may sound stupid, but it says that voltages are adjustable up to 9v. There's a 6.5v option.

Could you not use that to compensate for voltage sag?

i never played with it for long.. the cable i had was pretty thin and rubbish the only USB device thing i had around .. i did solder the USB cable directly to a 901 atomizer upped the voltage but still only got wimpish results when trying to directly power the atomizer..

its neat and nicely made and in theory should work.. it would also charge any e cig battery that uses a USB plug in charger..

<3.

I effing love your penstyle necklace BTW. Reminds me of those anti theft pens from the bank.

Back to topic though. I think I'm gonna get a solar powered pack just for camping and charging my batts. That way I wont have to worry about withdrawals if I get lost. And plus, it's neat.
