Finally broke down and bought a Soldado clone. I'm not gonna name the website but it is stateside. I'm sure we all know where it came from though, lol.
The price was great, got it and a Big Dripper for under $20 including shipping. This thing looks good and vapor/flavor production isn't bad. It's not the best of either but not the worst by far.
The afc ring is still an issue but can be dealt with, it's just really loose. Building on the deck isn't bad but not great either.
The major flaw on the one I have is the + post. This thing turns every time I tighten the screw. I've tried to lock it down but no go. Then it started shorting due to the insulator set up.
I haven't seen any recent reviews on it, so thought I'd throw this out here. The only thing I have bought that has the twisting post issue this bad was a dark horse clone.
I'm not gonna say don't buy one, as mine could just be a fluke. I will say though if you're interested in one, check that post asap, so you can get a doa credit.
The place I ordered from did offer to send me another but told them wasn't worth it to me and I appreciated the offer, just wanted to let them know the issue. Early this morning got an email from them, gave me a $10 store credit and 10% or free shipping voucher. So kinda made money on this one, lol.
